POSSIBILITY OF INCORRECT BRAKE ACTUATORS
On a small number of vehicles incorrect brake actuators may be fitted to the front axle brakes.
The affected vehicles are being recalled to have the brake actuators inspected. Any incorrect units will be replaced with the correct type.
CHAFING OF REAR BRAKE HOSES
The blanking bolts fitted to redundant seat belt mounting points may be excessively long and could chafe on the rear brake hoses. This could damage the hoses and lead to loss of brake fluid.
The affected vehicles are being recalled for removal of the subject bolts. These are being replaced with a suitable plastic rivet.
LATCHING OF FRONT RIGHT HAND DOOR
Under certain circumstances it is possible that the front right hand door may not latch properly.
The affected vehicles are being recalled to have the operation of the front right hand door checked. In all cases a modified screw will be fitted to the lock to eliminate the concern but where the check indicates that the latch may be binding
LOSS OF TYRE PRESSURE
The valve hole in the steel road wheel is 0.5mm out of its correct position. This results in a poor valve fit and loss of tyre air pressure.
The affected vehicles are being recalled to have the original wheels replaced with quality assured examples.
NON OPERATION OF BRAKE FLUID WARNING LAMP CHECK FACILITY
Should the low brake fluid warning lamp bulb fail the bulb check facility is not enabled to check this condition.
The affected vehicles are being recalled by the manufacturer for a minor wiring modification to the circuit concerned.

Should the low brake fluid warning lamp bulb fail the bulb check facility is not enabled to check this condition.
The affected vehicles are being recalled by the manufacturer for a minor wiring modification to the circuit concerned.
WHEEL HUB SECURITY
There is a possibility that the front and rear wheel hubs on both the left and right hand sides of the vehicle were not properly secured to the axles at initial assembly.
The affected vehicles are being recalled to have the hub security arrangement checked and where necessary rectified. Any parts found to be damaged as a result of insecurity will be replaced at the same time.
WIRING LOOM INSULATION ALSO SPLIT CHARGE RELAY CAPACITY
On some Transit Ambulance vehicles the split charge relay is insufficiently rated for its application. Additionally on these same vehicles the engine compartment wiring loom is equipped with unsatisfactory insulation.
Recall the affected vehicles for the fitment of a new level charge relay. At the same time the engine compartment wiring loom will be inspected replaced if damaged or retaped with new level insulation tape if undamaged.
LOSS OF BRAKING SYSTEM VACUUM ASSISTANCE
The rotor blades in the brake vacuum pump may have a rough surface and be subject to wear. In the worst case the blades may break causing loss of brake vacuum assistance and resulting in increased stopping distances.
The affected vehicles are being recalled to Toyota Dealers for replacement of the vacuum pump blades and rotor.
CRACKING OF REAR SUSPENSION VEE STAYS
Instances of cracking on the tube section of the rear suspension vee stays have occurred.
The vee stays on affected vehicles are being inspected for cracks by Volvo dealers. Where there is no evidence of cracking the stays will be strengthened by the fitment of re-inforcing clamps. In cases where cracking has occurred this will be repaired

FRACTURE OF REAR SUSPENSION BOLT
The rear suspension trailing arm bolts may develop material flaws if exposed to severe corrosive operating conditions. In extreme circumstances this defect could induce the bolt to fracture and consequently lead to the partial detachment of the
Recall the affected vehicles for replacement of the original trailing arm bolts with those of an improved material.
CRACKING OF REAR SEAT SUBFRAME
Instances of cracking of the rear seat subframe have occurred.
The affected machines are being recalled to have the sub- frame checked. Any cracked examples will be replaced and in all cases the securing bolts will be removed and the threads treated with Loctite before re-assembly.
POSSIBILITY OF COOLANT LEAKAGE INTO PASSENGER COMPARTMENT
Operation of the vehicle for prolonged periods with the cooling system at very high temperatures can result in cooling system damage which in rare instances may cause rupturing of the heat exchanger In consequence high temperature coolant may enter the
Recall the affected vehicles for the fitment of a bypass valve to the heat exchanger inlet and a non-return valve to the system. At the same time the heat exchanger box will be lined with absorbent foam.
POSSIBLE AXLE MISALIGNMENT
There is a possibility that the drive axle and/or the link steer axle U bolts nuts were not fully torqued during build. This may result in misalignment of the axles.
Dennis Eagle have contacted the operators of all the vehicles concerned both by telephone and in writing advising them to check and retorque the subject bolts immediately notifying the manufacturer in writing when this action has been completed.
FRACTURE OF BRAKE CHAMBER SUPPORT BRACKETS
Instances of cracking or breakage of the brake chamber support brackets have occurred on the second steering axle of the subject vehicles.
Recall the affected vehicles for the fitment of modified brake chamber support brackets.
FUEL FEED PIPE SEEPAGE
Due to possible defective sealing there is a risk of seepage from the fuel feed pipe where it connects to the injector rail on some 405 models.
All vehicles potentially affected by this campaign are being recalled to Peugeot dealers for the fitment of a modified clip to the fuel feed pipe.
POSSIBILITY OF THROTTLE STICKING
The throttle plate screws may not have been sufficiently torqued. This could result in sticking of the throttle.
Recall the affected vehicles for the fitment of a replacement throttle housing.
CONTAMINATION OF BRAKING SYSTEM FLUID
The clutch system hydraulic hoses on affected vehicles have been manufactured from a material containing mineral oil. As the clutch & brake systems share a common reservoir fluid from the clutch system which has been contaminated by contact with the h
Recall the affected vehicles for the fitment of new seals to the brake master cylinder. At the same time the brake/clutch hydraulic systems will be purged of the original fluid and replenished. New clutch hoses will also be fitted.
POSSIBLE LOSS OF BRAKE VACUUM ASSISTANCE
In a small number of cases leaks may occur in the vacuum line between the engine and the power brake unit. This would result in a need for increased brake pedal pressure when braking.
Recall the affected vehicles for the fitment of the latest version vacuum line.
BRAKING SYSTEM MAY OVERHEAT
Vehicles built during the period covered by the recall may have been fitted with a brake servo which incorporates an out of specification seal on the output shaft. This could result in excessive drag on the brake pushrod preventing the brake
Recall the affected vehicles for the fitment of a supplementary return spring between the brake pedal and the brake servo housing.
POSSIBLE EXPLOSION RISK
Gas leakage may occur between the gas tap and the gas rail with a consequent risk of explosion.
Engineers from Stoves plc will check the torque of the relevant gas connection and rectify any looseness where required.
CRACKING OF STEERING PITMAN ARM
There have been instances of some steering Pitman arms cracking.
Recall the affected vehicles for replacement of the original Pitman arms with quality assured versions.
POSSIBLE BLOCKAGE OF INJECTION PUMP CONTROL ROD
On a specific batch of fuel injection pump pressure valve retainers the bottom washer may come undone. This would cause the valve to drop on to the pump element and in extreme cases fragments may block the control rod.
Recall the affected vehicles for replacement of the original pressure valve retainers with quality assured examples.
