    Defect

    There may be insufficient clearance between the front brake hoses and the tyre inner wall. In the long term this could result in damage to the brake hose(s) with a risk of fluid loss.

    The affected vehicles are being recalled for installation of a spacer to ensure adequate clearance between the front brake hoses and the tyre walls. Any hoses showing signs of previous contact will be changed.

    Defect

    There is a risk of disengagement of the drivers seat catch allowing the seat to move on its runners.

    Remedy

    The recall operation will check the security of the seat runner which will be replaced if necessary. In some cases replacement of the seat frame will be required.

    Dennis Eagle have written to operators of all affected vehicles advising them to remove the heat shield with immediate effect and to report back to the manufacturer that this has been done.

    POSSIBLE FIRE RISK

    Defect

    As a result of the radio voltage transformers being incorrectly connected the master switch does not isolate the electrical system. It is therefore possible to start the engine with the master switch OFF which could melt the 3 amp voltage transformer and cause a fire within the vehicle.

    Remedy

    The affected vehicles are being recalled for the fitment of an alternative voltage transformer with modification to the associated wiring.

    The use of reformulated petrol in combination with a particular usage pattern of the vacuum operated fuel valve by the rider can affect the supply of petrol to the carburettor and lead to unscheduled shutdown of the engine.
