CHILD RESTRAINT ANCHOR BRACKET CONCERN
The bolts securing the child restraint anchor bracket to the rear floor at the right hand side may have been insufficiently tightened. If an ISOFIX type child restraint is fitted to this bracket it may be insecure.
Recall affected vehicles check and tighten the anchor bracket bolts where necessary.
REAR WHEEL SPOKES COULD BECOME LOOSE.
Spokes on the rear wheel could become loose and break and touch the transmission case which may lead to loss of control.
Recall affected machines and replace rear wheel.
REAR WHEEL SPOKES COULD BECOME LOOSE.
Spokes on the rear wheel could become loose and break and touch the transmission case which may lead to loss of control.
Recall affected machines and replace rear wheel.
REAR WHEEL SPOKES COULD BECOME LOOSE.
Spokes on the rear wheel could become loose and break and touch the transmission case which may lead to loss of control.
Recall affected machines and replace rear wheel.
POSSIBLE LOSS OF POWER STEERING
The power assisted steering low pressure pipe may chafe on a hose clip. This could result in the loss of the hydraulic fluid and power assistance of the steering.
Check the steering low pressure hydraulic pipe for damage and reposition the hose clip where necessary.
SECURITY OF EXHAUST MUFFLER.
The exhaust muffler support stay may crack and in extreme cases it could break and allow the muffler to become detached.
Recall affected machines and fit a modified muffler support stay.
POSSIBLE LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL
One or more heads of the top steering lever and tie rod arm securing bolts may detach. Multiple bolt failures could result in a loss of steering control.
Remove all suspect bolts and fit quality assured replacements.
THE THROTTLE CONTROL BALL JOINT.
The throttle control ball joint may break away from the fuel injection pump lever and cause the engine to jump to full revs.
Recall affected vehicles and reposition the throttle linkage connections. Renew any worn throttle control ball joints.
VACUUM PUMP DRIVE PIN
Brake vacuum pump drive coupling dog may fail as a result of breakage. This could result in a loss of power assistance at the brake pedal.
Recall affected vehicles to fit a quality assured replacement drive pin to the vacuum pump.
THAT THE SEAT BELT STALKS WILL NOT RESIST PASSENGER ABUSE.
It has been established that the seat belt stalks may fail due to abuse by passengers.
Replace the seat belt stalks with a stronger design.
FLOOR COVERING NOT SECURE
Under certain circumstances the rubber matting can move on the aluminium floor and cause animals to slip .
Recall affected trailers and fit reinforcement kit to secure matting to floor.
FLOOR COVERING NOT SECURE
Under certain circumstances the rubber matting can move on the aluminium floor and cause animals to slip .
Recall affected trailers and fit reinforcement kit to secure matting to floor.
TIMING BELT BREAKAGE
The camshaft drive belt may break and cause the engine to stop suddenly.
Recall affected vehicles and fit a quality assured cam belt.
CHAFING ELECTRICAL WIRING CONCERN
The crankshaft position sensor lead may be abraded by the offside drive shaft. Prolonged contact could result in the shaft severing the wire. In this instance the engine would stall.
Recall vehicles and fit an additional clip to the wiring harness to hold the harness away from the drive shaft.
POSSIBILITY THAT REAR WHEEL MAY LOCK.
When the clutch lever is released but the clutch not fully engaged clutch disc judder can occur at high engine RPM when performing rapid style racing starts. The resultant stress can cause the clutch outer to fail which may result in several large pieces separating from the clutch outer which may cause rear wheel lock the engine to stop and the risk of engine oil leakage due to crankcase damage.
Recall affected machines for the installation of an improved clutch outer and clutch lift lever shaft anti-judder spring spring seat and friction disc.
POSSIBLE INCORRECT INSTALLATION OF FUEL RETURN HOSE
The fuel injection return hose may of been installed with an excessive bend in its routing. This could create excessive pressure on the hose joint not designed for high pressure and result in fuel leakage.
Affected machines are being recalled to have the fuel return hose re-position.

STEERING HEAD CONCERN
The steering head welding connection to the frame main tube may break and affect the directional control of the moped.
Recall the affected machines and strengthen the steering head to frame main tube weld.
POSSIBILITY OF LOSS OF EFFICIENCY IN BRAKING SYSTEM.
There is a possibility of the fastener attaching the brake caliper to the Stub Axle coming loose on the rear wheels due to a mismatch between the Stub Axle and the fastener. This can adversely affect the performance of the fastener and may lead to a loss of efficiency in the braking system.
Recall affected vehicles and replace original fastener with a modified type and a lock washer to prevent it coming loose.
SPRING BRAKE CYLINDER MAY LEAK AND CAUSE THE PARKING BRAKE TO APPLY
Air may leak from the parking brake chamber due to a faulty seal causing the parking brake to apply.
Recall affected vehicles and replace brake chambers if bearing Code Number 99424 or 99425.
PASSENGER AIRBAG CONCERN
The passenger airbag may not release correctly because of a leak in the pressure reservoir of the gas generator.
Recall affected vehicles and replace the front passenger airbag.
PASSENGER AIRBAG CONCERN
The passenger airbag may not release correctly because of a leak in the pressure reservoir of the gas generator.
Recall affected vehicles and replace the front passenger airbag.
LOWER STEERING SHAFT MAY FAIL
Due to the long term effects of corrosion the above vehicles are being recalled. The corrosion is an age related problem and this recall action will target the oldest cars first in groups of 15000 to 20000. It is believed that as long as the vehicle has a current MOT and is serviced correctly any possible corrosion problems with the shaft will be highlighted as a matter of course. If customers are concerned they can visit any BMW dealer to have the shaft checked.
DEFECT (cont.) If the component is safe the car will not be repaired at this stage but will be recalled at a later date as originally planned. REMEDY Recall affected vehicles and fit modified lower steering shaft.
FUEL TANK MOUNTINGS
The fuel tank could be insecure due to the cross member carrying the fuel tank rear fixings not being to the correct specification.
Recall affected vehicles to carry out a modification to the fuel tank rear mountings.
BRAKE PEDAL RELAY LEVER
Brake pedal relay lever may fracture and adversely affect the operation of the braking system.
Recall affected vehicles and fit a quality assured replacement relay lever.
