TYRES MAY HAVE CUTS IN SIDE WALLS.
Cuts have been observed on isolated Continental tyres fitted to vehicles. The cuts (1-5 cm in length) are of varying severity and can lead to a loss of tyre pressure. This can destroy the tyre if the vehicle continues to be driven.
Recall affected vehicles examine all tyres and replace any found with cuts in the sidewalls.

FAILURE OF CAMSHAFT DRIVE BELT
The camshaft drive belt may fail before the recommended replacement interval of 72000 miles. This could result in a complete loss of engine power without warning.
Recall affected vehicles and fit a quality assured replacement camshaft drive belt.
CLUTCH CABLE CONCERN
The clutch control cable may fray and/or snap resulting in loss of control of the clutch mechanism.
Recall affected motorcycles and fit a quality assured replacement clutch cable.
GEARBOX SELECTOR YOKE CONCERN
The bolt securing the gear selector yoke to the gear selector shaft may loosen and fall out. This will allow the gear selector yoke to become detached from the selector shaft. In this event it will not be possible to select gear.
Fit a higher tensile bolt to the gear selector yoke and tighten it to a higher torque specification.

The clutch control cable may fray and/or snap resulting in loss of control of the clutch mechanism.
Recall affected motorcycles and fit a quality assured replacement clutch cable.

POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD
Potential problem with the fuel tank/fuel pump gasket. Over time the gasket could become damaged and lead to fuel leakage.
Recall affected machines and fit four additional spacers between the relevant components to ensure correct assembly of the gasket.
POSSIBLE CRACKING OF FUEL TANK AND CHECK VALVE.
There is a possibility that the fuel tank upper panel may suffer from fatigue failure due to repeated stress caused by the fuel tank breathing. In addition the Spacerunners will be checked for cracks on the check valve due to interference with the cross member.
If any cracks are apparent the fuel tank will be replaced if no crack is visible a reinforcement plate will be fitted the check valve will be re-located.

POSSIBLE LOSS OF TYRE PRESSURE FROM FRONT AND REAR TYRES
The tyre valve nut on the front and rear wheels can crack from a combination of stress and corrosion. Because the affected units are fitted tubeless tyres cracking of the nut can lead to a reduction of tyre pressure. This could adversely affect the handling and performance of the vehicle and may create a risk of an accident possibly resulting in personal injury.
Fit replacement tyre valve nuts of increased size and improved material. Replace washer beneath the valve nut with one of improved material.

INSECURITY OF FRONT SEAT BACKREST.
The front seats may not latch positively following operation of the seat tip lever. In consequence the seat squab (backrest) could attempt to fold forward if the vehicle should be brought to a very rapid stop.
Affected vehicles will be recalled for examination of the operation and integrity of the front seat tip lever and latching mechanism. In cases where the mechanism is found to bind a new seat frame assembly will be fitted.

SUSPENSION STABILISER BAR MAY BREAK
The front suspension stabiliser bar may break which can adversely affect the driving stability and handling of the car.
Recall affected vehicles to fit a quality assured replacement stabiliser bar.
OVERHEATING OF WIRING HARNESS CONNECTORS
It is possible that the rough surface of the heater blower resistor's stainless steel connector blades can damage the copper surface of the wiring harness connector. This could result in arcing and overheating of the wiring connector.
Install a revised heater blower resistor and a revised wire jumper harness.
STEERING RELAY LEVER BRACKET
The second steer axle relay lever pivot bracket may crack. Complete failure of the bracket could impair the directional control of the vehicle.
Fit a modified relay lever bracket.
HEADLIGHTS MAY FAIL UNEXPECTEDLY
There is a possibility that the headlight and horn wiring circuit may fail resulting in the unexpected failure of the headlights and horn.
Recall likely affected vehicles for modifications to the headlight and horn circuit wiring connection.

Recall likely affected vehicles for modifications to the headlight and horn circuit wiring connection.
PARKING BRAKE RATCHET CONCERN
The design of the parking brake ratchet teeth can allow a partial engagement resulting in damage to the tooth which can then slip to the next tooth. If ignored the wear will continue on the next tooth and the efficiency of the parking brake may become insufficient to hold the vehicle in place.
Replace parking brake lever assembly with one that has a revised tooth profile.
