DVLA recall archive
The archive holds 15,570 DVLA vehicle safety recalls dating back to 1992. Filter by manufacturer, year, or keyword. To check whether a specific vehicle is affected by an outstanding recall, run a live VRM recall check for £1.99.
Showing 13126–13150 of 15,570 recalls.
ABS MAY FAIL
In certain exceptional circumstances (constant use of the ABS) it is possible for the ABS to stop functioning. This is as a result of excessive pressure building up in the ABS system.
To recall the machines that are likely to be affected and fit a pressure restrictor into the hand brake control hydraulics.

TYRE VALVE MAY FAIL
It has been identified that a limited number of motorhomes have been fitted during production with an incorrect tyre valve. In extreme circumstances the valve could fail resulting in a total loss of tyre air pressure.
Owners are being asked to identify what tyre valve is fitted to their motorhome and to have the valve/s replaced if found to be incorrect.
POSSIBILITY OF FIRE
The wiring to the driver's electric seat adjuster may chafe on the sharp edge of the seat base which may result in an electrical short circuit. This can cause the wiring and fuse-box to overheat and a risk of fire.
Recalled vehicles will have the routing of the wiring checked and any sharp edges will be insulated.
STEERING RELAY ROD MAY CRACK
If the steering wheel is repeatedly turned under conditions where high steering effort is required such as when fully turning the steering wheel whilst the vehicle is stationary a fatigue crack may develop in the relay rod. In extreme cases the steering rod may fracture causing a loss of steering control.
Recall the likely to be affected vehicles and replace the steering relay rod.
TYRE MAY DEFLATE
The subject tyres may develop scattered compression cracking within the inner liner which can result in a reduction in the ability of the tyre to retain inflation pressure.
Customers will be contacted and tyres replaced free of charge.
TYRE TREAD MAY SEPARATE
It has been identified that a low tread gauge in the shoulder slot area could lead to cracking at the base of the shoulder slots. This could result in exposed belt wire and accelerated belt degradation which could result in separation.
Customers are to be contacted and the subject tyres changed free of charge.

Customers will be contacted and tyres replaced free of charge.
ROOF GLASS MAY SHATTER
The moonroofs glass may shatter due to the reinforcement bars being incorrectly assembled.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the moonroof with a quality assured replacement.
DILUTION OF ENGINE OIL LEADING TO ENGINE DAMAGE
Due to excessive clearance within the fuel injectors fuel may leak into the cylinder bores and then into the sump causing engine oil dilution. If this situation is ignored engine damage can occur additionally the engine revs may show an unintentional increase.
Affected vehicles will have the fuel injectors replaced.
STRUT MAY BECOME LOOSE AND SEPARATE
The front steering knuckle clamp bolts may not have been tightened sufficiently.
Recall the vehicles that are affect (the vehicles that have had recall number RM/2005/030 completed prior to 03/03/2006) to inspect the steering knuckle clamp bolts and replace as necessary. Refit the clamp bolts and tighten to the correct torque.
OIL MAY LEAK ONTO REAR WHEEL
There is a possiblility that a fault with the rear transmission box may allow oil to leak onto the rear wheel
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the drive assembly.

Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the drive assembly.
FUEL TAP READS INCORRECTLY
Certain 2004 model year carburettor equipped motorcycles have been fitted with a fuel tap where the 'On' and 'Reserve' markings have been transposed.
Replace the fuel valve (tap).
FUEL TAP READS INCORRECTLY
Certain 2004 model year carburettor equipped motorcycles have been fitted with a fuel tap where the 'On' and 'Reserve' markings have been transposed.
Replace the fuel valve (tap).
SIDE STAND MAY NOT RETRACT
Due to an incorrectly manufactured side stand pivot bolt the side stand may not move backwards when the weight of the parked machine is removed from it.
Recalled machines will have the side stand pivot bolt replaced.
REAR BRAKE PERFORMANCE MAY NOT BE AS EXPECTED
It is possible in an emergency braking situation with fully laden vehicle the rear axle brakes will not be applied as expected giving a rise of extended braking distance.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and check the brake pressure regulator type fitted to the vehicle is the same as that list on the vehicle plate. If necessary fit a new plate. Check and if necessary adjust the load sensing valve linkage.
FUEL MAY LEAK
On the affected machines the possibility exists that the internal lining of the fuel hose may separate from the hose outer leading to a possible fuel leak.
Affected machines will have the fuel line replaced
FUEL MAY LEAK
Certain 2004 Dyna range motorcycles may have a condition which allows the throttle cables to contact the underside of the fuel tank. This could eventually lead to them wearing through the tank causing a fuel leak.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and modify the throttle cable retention. The throttle cable and tank will be replaced as necessary.
TAIL LAMP MAY BECOME LOOSE
The tail lamp bulb may become loose in its mounting socket.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and replace the tail lamp bulb with a re-designed bulb.
ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT FAILURE
It has been identified that the subject machines have been fitted with a sub-standard 40amp circuit.
Recalled machines will have the circuit breaker replaced.
SIDE STAND MAY NOT RETRACT
Due to an incorrectly manufactured side stand pivot bolt the side stand may not move backwards when the weight of the parked machine is removed from it.
Recalled machines will have the side stand pivot bolt replaced.

The tail lamp bulb may become loose in its mounting socket.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and replace the tail lamp bulb with a re-designed bulb.
NEUTRAL GEAR LIGHT MAY ILLUMINATE WHEN MACHINE IS IN GEAR
Certain 2006 Dyna range motorcycles may have a fault which leaves the neutral light illuminated when 1st or 2nd gear is selected.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and replace the detent arm neutral switch and shift cam assembly.
