DVLA recall archive
The archive holds 15,570 DVLA vehicle safety recalls dating back to 1992. Filter by manufacturer, year, or keyword. To check whether a specific vehicle is affected by an outstanding recall, run a live VRM recall check for £1.99.
Showing 12901–12925 of 15,570 recalls.
FRONT SEATS MAY NOT LOCK INTO POSITION
There is a possibility that the seat back of the front seats may become difficult to adjust and or not lock into position.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check that all welding to the seat back frame is present. If the welds are not all present then the seat back frame will be replaced.
GEARBOX MAY MALFUNCTION
Possible malfunction of the gearbox control causing: 1. Gearbox switching to manual mode without driver intervention; 2. gearbox changing to 3rd gear without driver intervention; 3.incorrect display of lever position on the instrument panel; 4. Auto gearbox warning light illuminates.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the automatic transmission computer.
KINGPIN BED PLATE MAY FAIL
It has been identified during trials that in situations of extremely heavy use it may be possible for a crack to develop in the sem-i trailer bed plate just ahead of the king pin. If a crack does develop and is ignored then ultimately the risk exists that the king pin could be torn away.
The subject area of the bed plate will be modified as necessary.

SHORT CIRCUIT TO CABIN HEATER
The supplementary cabin heater may have a short circuit which normally leads to the battery being 'drained'. In extreme cases fire may occur.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to disable the heater. This is a temporary measure until the root cause has been found and a permanent fix can be developed and applied.
ENGINE MAY STALL
The idle speed of the engine may become intermittently unstable. In rare cases this may result in the engine stalling when the machine is stationery or at low speed
Recall affected machines and check Throttle Position Sensor. If necessary fit revised part.

CLUTCH MAY FAIL
On a number of RHD ALfa Romeo 147 and GT models there is a possibility that the clip which secures the connecting pin between the clutch cylinder and the clutch pedal may become detached resulting in loss of clutch operation.
Recalled vehicles will be fitted with a redesigned retaining clip.

TRANSMISSION MAY LOCK UP
The potential exists that in certain circumstances of extreme loading on the fourth gear wheel dogs this may cause them to break. Should this occur it may be possible that the transmission may lack with the potential for the rider to lose control.
Recalled machines will have the affected components replaced with modified parts.
ENGINE MAY FAIL
The position of the spark plug may be deeper than standard which will result in various conditions from poor running to in the worst case engine failure.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check the cylinder head Lot number and check the depth of the spark plug. Where the depth of the spark plug is incorrect it will be necessary to replace the cylinder head.
WINDOWS MAY BECOME DETACHED
It has been identified that with some windows of affected caravans the inner and outer pane may loosen due to the adhesive being subject to high UV-exposure. Should the window pane detach a danger may be caused to other road users if the vehicle were to be in motion.
Recalled vehicles will have the windows checked and changed if necessary.
SEAT BELT FIXING MAY LOOSEN
On the vehicles concerned the lower fixing for the left hand front seat belt may be of an incorrect specification. This may lead to the fixing becoming loose.
Recalled vehicles will have the fixing checked and corrected as necessary.
SEATBELT ANCHOR MAY BE LOOSE
Rear Wheelchair lap and diagonal upper anchor securing may be inadequate
Recall affected vehicles and check/ fit belt securing device.
PARKING BRAKE MAY FAIL
It has been identified that the parking brake levers situated on the rear disc calipers may have a fissure. This carries the potential risk that loss of parking brake function may occur due to the levers breaking.
Recalled vehicles will be inspected and affected parts replaced as necessary.
ENGINE MAY CUT OUT AND OR FAIL TO START
It has been identified that the engine may fail to start or may stall and fail to restart. This situation is caused by the presence of water residue from the tank testing procedure being left on the fuel pump wiring connector block. This situation can result in electrolytic corrosion of the connector terminals which may then break thus interrupting the electrical supply to the fuel pump with subsequent loss of fuel pressure.
Recalled vehicles will be checked for the presence of corrosion and or water on the fuel pump connector block. Should this situation be found the fuel pump assembly will be replaced.
SEAT BELT MOUNTING POTENTIAL FAILURE
It has been identified that weak welding in the upper section of some vertical tubes in the rear seat frame is present in subject vehicles. This may lead in cases of impact to the seat belt becoming insecure.
Recalled vehicles will have the mechanical strength of the seat frame weak points improved by the fitting of a retrofit kit.

SEAT MAY CONTAIN A SHARP EDGE/POINT
Mothercare has been notified of a single car seat in which a plastic point created during the production process had not been removed.
As a precautionary measure all stock manufactured in the same production unit is being inspected to ensure there are no similar issues.
WARM AIR HOUSING MAY DANGEROUSLY OVERHEAT
In exceptional circumstances a dangerous overheating of the warm air housing could occur.
Recalled vehicles will be fitted with a modified warm air housing.
