WHEEL BEARING MAY FAIL
It is possible that water ingress into the front axle hub through a seal can cause corrosion which ultimately could result in failure of the wheel bearing. If not rectified this could ultimately result in detachment of the hub and wheel assembly.
Recall affected vehicles and replace the front hub assemblies.
BRAKE SERVO ASSISTANCE MAY BE REDUCED
It has been identified that due to the inlet filter for the exhaust gas recirculating valve (EGR) being in an exposed position there is a possibility of water entering the brake servo vacuum pipe. This can give rise to the possibility of ice forming within the pipe during periods of low ambient temperature with the possibility of reduced brake servo assistance.
Recalled vehicles will have the EGR valve solenoids checked for the presence of separate air filters. If this is not the case new solenoids with separate filters will be fitted.
THUMB CATCH MAY FAIL DURING COUPLING
Under certain conditions it is possible for the thumb catch to fail as the trailer is being coupled
Recall affected trailers and replace coupling head if coloured silver and bearing code 0707 or 0807 or 0907.
TREAD SEPARATION
It has been identified that due to a production anomaly a small number of cases of localised tread separation have occurred. This separation can result in a small area of accelerated tread wear which can result in small areas of tread being torn from the carcass.
Identified owners of the affected tyres will be made aware of the concern through direct communication by letter. Additionally websites tyre dealers wholesalers and popular publications will be populated with information relating to the replacement of likely to be affected tyres.

SWING ARM MAY FAIL
The rear swing arm might fail which will lead to the loss of directional control.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected to replace the rear swinging arm.

RISK OF FUEL LEAK RELATED FIRE
It has been identified that subject machines were manufactured with petcock valve mounting inserts that may become loose due to an imperfect fit of the threads of the petcock valve and the fuel tank mounting area. If a brass mounting insert becomes loose or is pulled from the base of the fuel tank a fuel leak may develop. This can result in a fire hazard.
Recalled machines will have the fuel tank replaced with a unit which incorporates changes to the petcock valve.
STEERING CONTROL MAY BE LOST
When used regularly in severe off road conditions the ball joint of the pitman arm may break resulting in loss of steering control.
Recalled vehicles will be fitted with a modified pitman arm if this has not already been accomplished following a previous intervention.
POSSIBILITY OF FIRE
It has been identified that the possibility exists that the battery positive lead may contact a weld bead on the oil tank. This may cause the weld bead to abrade the insulation on the cable and cause an electrical short circuit from the battery through the oil tank and oil lines. This could lead to an oil leak and or the possibility of a fire.
Recalled machines will have a battery caddy installed that will protect the cable and ensure correct routing.
POSSIBLE LOSS OF CONTROL
It is possible for the chain guide to become dislodged by the drive chain whilst the machine is in motion which could result in the rider loosing control.
Recalled machines will have the securing bolt removed the threads cleaned and have Loctite 243 applied to them. The bolt will then be re-fitted and tightened to a torque of 6 Nm.

CONTROL RELAY MAY OVERHEAT
It has been identified that if the incorrect type of cold start element is fitted frequent use under extreme weather conditions may lead to overheating of the control relay.
Recalled vehicles will have the part number of the cold start element checked which will be replaced as necessary.
REAR BRAKES MAY LOCK
The ABS control unit may be programmed incorrectly. This may lead to the rear brakes locking up during certain braking conditions.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affect to re-programme the ABS control module.

ENGINE PERFORMANCE MAY BE AFFECTED
It has been identified that the use of a faulty tool during engine assembly has led to isolated incidents of damage to the spark plugs. When the engine is in use the insulator of the central electrode may become displaced and contact he ground electrode. Should this occur it will have a detriment effect on engine performance.
Recalled machines will have the suspect spark plugs replaced.
CORRECT CHAIN TENSIONERS MAY NOT BE FITTED
It has been identified that in production the left hand chain tensioner may have been fitted to the right hand side of the machine.
Recalled machines will have the chain tensioners checked for correct installation and rectified if found to be incorrect or damaged.
HANDLEBARS MAY NOT BE SECURE
Due to a manufacturing non-compliance the handlebar clamping blocks are not to specification. This can result in the handlebars not being held securely in positionn.
Subject machines will have the handlebar clamping blocks replaced with quality assure items.
BRAKES MAY FAIL TO OPERATE CORRECTLY
Following the washing process water may have been left in the rear spring brake chamber. As a consequence it is possible that this water may freeze under cold conditions.
Recall affected vehicles remove brake chamber drain water and clean out.
WHEEL BEARING COULD FAIL
There is a possibility that a rear wheel bearing may have been overtightened at the factory. If ignored this condition could result in reduced bearing life and ultimately the bearings could fail.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the rear wheel bearings.
FUEL MAY LEAK
Fuel delivery pipe adjacent to air filter may chafe. This in time could lead to leakage of fuel in the engine compartment and a consequent risk of fire.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the fuel delivery pipe and where necessary replace the pipe containment channel.
BRAKE HOSE MAY FRACTURE
The front left brake pipe may foul the power steering hose which can damage the brake pipe which may fail leading to loss of brake fluid.
Recall affected vehicles check pipe for damage if OK apply new securing clip. If damaged replace pipe with modified version.
FUEL MAY LEAK
A crack may occur in the fuel filter water sensor which can lead to a leakage of fuel.
Recalled vehicles will have the fuel filter water sensor replaced.
