AIR BELLOW MAY CRACK
A reinforcing plate might have been omitted from the air bellow carriers during production. As a result the carrier may crack which if allowed to progress will lead to instability at the rear of the vehicle.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary replace the bellows carrier with a quality assured component.
OIL MAY LEAK FROM FILTER HOUSING
It has been identified that there exixts a sustatial risk of leakage from the engine oil filter housing.
Recalled vehicles will have the functionality of the oil sprayer ramp and supply valve checked and if necessary replace filter housing.
STEERING MAY FAIL
It has been identified that due to a manufacturing deviation the base material for the telescopic tube of the intermediate steering shaft may lack the required rigidity. This may lead to breakage of the shaft which in the worst case would lead to loss of steering control.
Recalled vehicles will be fitted with a quality assured steering shaft.
HANDBRAKE MAY FAIL
It has been identified that due to a manufacturing deviation the handbrake cables on certain 9-3s may deform under load. Should this occur a reduced or non-existent handbrake force will ensue.
Recalled vehicles will have the handbrake cables replaced with quality assured items.
REAR SEATBELTS MAY NOT FUNCTION CORRECTLY
The rear seat belts and lock mechanisms are not compatible and may not lock correctly
Recall affected vehicles replace seat belts and brackets and rework cladding elements at seat belts.
ABS MAY FAIL
It is possible for moisture to enter the ABS connector/control unit. This can cause the ABS system not to function correctly and in the worst case overheating which may lead to fire.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check the ABS control unit fit a protective cover to the control unit and seal the earth point with wax.

STEERING ARM MAY CONTACT BRAKE CALLIPER
It has been identified that the possibility exists that the steering track rod arm may contact the brake calliper with the steering on lock.
Recalled vehicles will be checked for the relevant conflicting parts and if necessary will be fitted with replacement brake pads. It should be noted at this time that the foregoing represents an interim fix.

DEFECTIVE SWITCH CONSOLE
The switch console for the PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) and TC Off (Traction Control) may be defective and give incorrect signals or cause the above systems to fail.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary replace the switch console.
TORQUE REDUCTION VALUE LABEL MISSING ON ENGINE
It has been identified that the engine information label does not indicate the torque reduction value.
Recalled vehicle will have the plate replaced.
TORQUE REDUCTION VALUE LABEL MISSING ON ENGINE
It has been identified that the engine information label does not indicate the torque reduction value.
Recalled vehicle will have the plate replaced.
WEIGHT INFORMATION PRODUCT LABEL INCORRECTLY
It has been identified that the product label fitted to the inside of the right hand door pillar does not contain any weight information
Affected vehicles will have a replacement label affixed.

CAN-BUS CONNECTION MAY BE AFFECTED
It has been identified that upon insertion of the ignition key the engine control module may transmit a signal to shut down the Can-Bus network thus disabling functions such as the climate control.
Recalled vehicles will have the relevant software upgraded.
ROLL OVER PROTECTION MAY FAIL
It has been identified that on affected vehicles the roll over protection system securing bolts may either be loose or not fully tight. In this condition the roll over protection may not be fully effective in the event of a roll over occurring.
Recalled vehicles will have the protection units checked for the correct number of securing bolts with bolts being installed as necessary. In addition all securing bolts will be checked to ensure that they are tightened to the correct specification.
BRAKES MAY FAIL
Due to the possibility of a fault in the production process the flexible rubber brake hoses may not have been correctly vulcanised. As a consequence may partially or totally restrict the internal flow of the brake hydraulic fluid. Should this happen a reduction in efficiency during braking would occur.
Recalled vehicles will have the hoses checked to identify if they are within the affected batch. If this is the case they will be replaced with quality assured items.
