DVLA recall archive
The archive holds 15,570 DVLA vehicle safety recalls dating back to 1992. Filter by manufacturer, year, or keyword. To check whether a specific vehicle is affected by an outstanding recall, run a live VRM recall check for £1.99.
Showing 12426–12450 of 15,570 recalls.
FUEL MAY LEAK
Due to improper shaping of the fuel pipes and engine vibration it is possible that the pipes may crack and allow fuel to escape.
Recall affected vehicles and replace fuel pipe assembly with modified version.
POTENTIAL LOSS OF CONTROL
It has been identified that the rear swing arm bolts may become loose or detach causing loss of control.
Recalled vehicles will have the swing arm bolts replaced and spacers with ocking clips fitted
REDUCED BRAKING PERFORMANCE
It has been identified that on the specified vehicles a fault may develop with the brake vacuum pump. This can result in hardening of the brake pedal with an attendant loss of braking efficiency.
Recalled vehicles will have the vacuum pump replaced.

REAR CARRIER MAY BECOME DETATCHED
In certain circumstances it is possible that the genuine accessory luggage carrier could break. In the worst case the carrier and luggage could become detached from the motorcycle creating the potential for an accident.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected to replace the luggage rack with one that has been newly designed and reinforced.
SIDE CASE MAY BECOME DETACHED
In certain circumstances it is possible for the side case latch pivot pin to break. This could result in the side case/s becoming detached from the machine.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected to replace the locks on both the left and right side cases.
FIRE MAY OCCUR
The contact resistance on the earth connection of the heating element for the additional air heater can exceed specification. This could lead to excessive heat developing in the connection area of the cable which could result in localised scorching. However if not rectified this could result in a vehicle fire.
Recall all affected vehicles and check the torque on the earth connection.

POTENTIAL LOSS OF ABS AND ESP FUNCTIONS
It has been identified that the operation of the ABS/ESP braking unit may be affected by the ingress of water.
Recall likely to be affected vehicles to reinforce the resistance of the ABS/ESP unit to water.
ENGINE FUEL PUMP MAY FAIL
It has been identified that long term exposure to salt or wet conditions may lead to internal corrosion of the fuel pump electronic module. A faulty signal from the module may lead to incorrect amounts or no fuel being delivered to the fuel pump.
Recalled vehicles will have the fuel pump module replaced.

MUFFLER PROTECTOR MAY BECOME UNDULY HOT AND START TO MELT.
It has been identified that under certain circumstances the clearance between the exhaust muffler and it's left hand protector may not be sufficient resulting in it becoming unduly hot. In rare cases this may result in the protector starting to melt and in the extreme emitting smoke causing concern to the rider and the pillion passenger.
Recalled machines will be fitted with a modified exhaust muffler protector.
DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEAT BACKS COULD DETACH FROM THEIR FRAMES.
It has been identified that some driver and front seat passenger seat backs have not been welded on both seams of the fixing bracket. In this situation should excessive weight or force be applied to the seat back it could detach from the frame.
Recalled vehicles will have the subject welding checked at which time any missing or sub-standard welding will be rectified.
FUEL MAY LEAK
It has been identified that; the fuel tank may split and rapidly leak fuel.
Recalled machines will have the fuel tank checked and replaced as necessary.
STEERING MAY BE AFFECTED
It is possible that the steering box mounting bolts may not have been correctly installed. This may result in the bolts becoming loose which could affect the driver's directional control of the vehicle.
Recall all affected vehicles and replace the subject bolts.
DRIVE SHAFT SECURING NUTS MAY LOOSEN
The front and rear propeller shafts and the right hand front drive shaft have been fitted with nuts of an incorrect specification. The concern could lead to vibration which if not attended to could lead to the detachment of a shaft and loss of drive.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the nuts and washers fitted to the front and rear propeller shafts and the right hand front drive shaft.
ENGINE MAY STALL
The engine may stall as a result of the crank shaft position sensor wiring harness being incorrectly routed and possibly coming into contact with the blades of the cooling fan.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check the wiring harness and re-route or replace the wiring harness as necessary.
JACK MAY FAIL DURING WHEEL CHANGE
In certain loaded conditions the vehicle jack may fail causing the vehicle to drop during a wheel change operation.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the existing jack with one of a new design.
JACK MAY FAIL DURING WHEEL CHANGE

Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the existing jack with one of a new design.
OIL MAY LEAK FROM FILTER HOUSING
It has been identified that there exixts a sustatial risk of leakage from the engine oil filter housing.
Recalled vehicles will have the functionality of the oil sprayer ramp and supply valve checked and if necessary replace filter housing.
AIR BELLOW MAY CRACK
A reinforcing plate might have been omitted from the air bellow carriers during production. As a result the carrier may crack which if allowed to progress will lead to instability at the rear of the vehicle.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary replace the bellows carrier with a quality assured component.
