DVLA recall archive
The archive holds 15,570 DVLA vehicle safety recalls dating back to 1992. Filter by manufacturer, year, or keyword. To check whether a specific vehicle is affected by an outstanding recall, run a live VRM recall check for £1.99.
Showing 11976–12000 of 15,570 recalls.
WINDSHIELD MAY BECOME LOOSE
Adhesion faults may occur between the individual paint coatings at the bonding surface of the roof and the windshield. Under extreme conditions this could lead to peeling of the roof or the windshield which may lead to the windshield/roof becoming loose.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to renew the paint work bonding of the roof and windshield.
CENTRE REAR SEAT PASSENGER MAY NOT BE FULLY RESTRAINED
It has been identified that the potential exists for the centre rear seatbelt upper guide bracket to distort in the event of a frontal impact. This could result in the centre sear seat occupant travelling further forward than the design intent.
Recalled vehicles will have the subject guide bracket replaced with one which incorporates a revised design.
BOOT LIGHT MAY CATCH FIRE
It has been identified that due to a build up of corrosion on the boot light terminals a short circuit may possibly occur. This can result in melting of the terminals which may result in a fire.
Recalled vehicles will have the boot light and side quarter trims replaced. Additionally the wiring harness to the boot light will be repaired as necessary.
PARK BRAKE MAY NOT BE EFFECTIVE
It has been identified that the parking brake lever clutch drum may distort and reduce the effectiveness of the parking brake. This could result in the vehicle moving inadvertently when parked.
Recalled vehicles will have the parking brake lever assembly replaced.
FUEL MAY LEAK FROM MANIFOLD
Fuel may leak as on some engines the fuel manifolds may not be to specification. If the fuel manifold leaks it is possible that a loss of power could occur and the engine cut out.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to inspect the fuel manifold and check it for conformity to specification. Where necessary replace the fuel manifold.

STEERING MAY FAIL
The steering may fail because some of the steering columns have not been fitted correctly to the steering box input shaft.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check the steering column coupling fitment and where necessary fit a new steering column and fixings.
SHORT CIRCUIT MAY OCCUR
The battery/alternator positive lead connection has been found insecure in its crimped connector to the starter motor on a small number of vehicles. This could cause prolonged engine cranking/difficulty in starting and if they detached from the starter motor during normal driving the engine would eventually loose power. It could also result in the cable electrically shorting against metalic components in the surrounding area.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to test the cable fixing and where necessary replace the entire positive lead.

ACCELERATOR MAY STICK
It has been identified that the possibility exists that the accelerator pedal's rotation pin may not have been inserted correctly. In this condition the accelerator pedal might stick.
Recalled vehicles will have the accelerator pedal checked for the presence of the pin. Should the pin be found to be missing the accelerator pedal will be changed.
ACCELERATOR PEDAL MAY FAIL TO RETURN TO IDLE WHEN RELEASED
It has been identified that on affected vehicles a non conformity within the accelerator pedal assembly may cause interference and prevent the pedal from returning to its original position. This may result in the vehicle maintaining a degree of acceleration which can be overcome by firm braking.
Recalled vehicles will have the accelerator pedal changed.
ENGINE SPACERS MAY DETACH
Due to vibration it is possible that stress cracks make occur on the engine spacer. This will normally result in noises however it is possible on high milage vehicles for the spacers to become detached.
Fitment of additional damping elements to reduce the vibration and overcome the issue.

WIPERS / LIGHTS/ BATTERY CHARGING MAY BE AFFECTED.
An incorrect engine relay unit may have been fitted. This ECU could deteriorate and cause operating faults and perhaps failure of certain equipment
Recall affected vehicles check Engine Relay Unit and replace if not correct specification.

FIRE MAY OCCUR
A short circuit may occur in the PTC heater which could result in the battery discharging a smell from hot/melted components or in the worst case fire.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the PTC heater and condensation drain tube with the latest specification components.
SEATBELT RESTRAINING ABILITY MAY BE AFFECTED
Welding on front R/H seat frame may not be robust enough by the seat buckle. Restraining ability may be impaired in an impact.
Recall affected vehicles to check and replace seat frame if in affected batch.
ACCELERATOR PEDAL MAY NOT RETURN WHEN RELEASED
The throttle pedal may not return to its initial position as a result of a nonconformity to specification.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary replace the pedal mechanism.
