LOSS OF POWER ASSISTED STEERING AND ENGINE MAY STALL.
It is possible that water can enter the electric hydraulic power assisted steering pump. This can affect the operation of the pump. The driver will receive warning in the form of warning messages and illumination of warning lights on the dashboard. However the power assistance for the steering can failure but in extreme circumstances the engine can unexpectedly stall.
Recall all affected vehicles and replace the power assisted steering pump.

ENGINE MAY STALL
Vehicles may have an incorrectly manufactured fuel supply line which could lead to fuel leakage. In worst cases the fuel line could become detached and the engine would stall without warning to the driver.
Replace fuel supply line.
SHIFT LEVER MAY NOT ENGAGE
There is a possibility that the shift cable may have been installed incorrectly causing tension on the cable not anticipated in the design. If present this condition could cause the cable to detach from the shiftier assembly's dowel pin preventing the transmission from being shifted. The shift lever can then be moved into the park (P) position while the transmission is still in the last used gear before detachment. If the driver leaves the vehicle without engaging the parking brake there is a possibility the vehicle can roll creating the risk of a crash.
Vehicles affected will have the cable inspected to ensure it is fitted correctly if incorrect the cable will be refitted with a new mounting bush.
AIRBAG MAY NOT DEPLOY
The drivers airbag may not deploy in an accident and the passenger airbag could deploy at anytime even when it has been deactivated.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to reprogramme the airbag computer.
ENGINE MAY CUT OUT
Regulator/Rectifier unit may fail in use due to poor adhesion between an internal circuit board and the external heat sink (external casing). resulting in an open circuit and failure. This causes insufficient battery charging current to the battery and can lead to engine stalling and non start when in use.
Replacement of all Regulator/Rectifiers in VIN range with quality assured units.

DRIVE BELT TENSIONER MAY BREAK.
The internal spring within the drive belt tensioner may break causing the drive belt to loose tension. This will prevent the alternator water pump and air-conditioning compressor pulleys from operating. Warning lamps associated with battery charging and engine coolant temperature will illuminate. In the worst case the drive belt may come off preventing the power steering pulley from operating increased driver effort will be required to steer the vehicle.
Replacement of the drive belt tensioner assembly.

ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE MAY MALFUNCTION
It has been identified that due to a nonconformity in one of the operating cables of the Electric Parking Brake (FSE) it is possible that insufficient application (force) will be applied. This could result in only one wheel operating or locked. The driver however will receive warning of the issue by the illumination of the Parking Brake Warning Lamp on the instrument panel along with a message on the multifuction screen.
Recall all affected vehicles for inspection repair or if required the replacement of the cable.

FIRE MAY OCCUR
It is possible that one or more air conditioning evaporator blowers can overheat. This will result in a burning smell and/or smoke in the passenger compartment. If action is not taken then it is possible that a fire could occur in the air conditioning unit and could spread to the rest of the vehicle.
Recall all affected vehicle and install a protection mechanism into the blower unit.
ENGINE MAY STALL
It is possible that due to insufficient sealing of the Body Control Module (BCM) water can enter the unit and cause the engine to stall. This could result in the rider being injured if it should occur in heavy traffic.
Recall all the affected machines and replace the BCM.
STEERING LOCK MAY NOT ENGAGE
Software version of the Hands Free control unit revision 43 under some special conditions of use (upon instrument panel switch on) could fail to disengage the electronic steering lock. It may then be possible to start the engine before realising the steering is still locked.
A new software version 44 has been designed to allow the reprogram of the hands free control unit.

ENGINE MAY STALL
It is possible that a diode within the DC converter of the Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system became damaged during initial testing. Over time the diode could deteriorate and eventually fail causing a short circuit within the IMA system which results in the 100amp fuse blowing. A melted fuse will result in the engine stalling and the engine cannot be restarted. There will not be any noticeable symptoms prior to the engine stalling.
The dealer will replace the DC converter with a new one.
