CLUTCH AND GEAR SELECTION MAY BE LOST
The clutch pedal pivot may fail which will render the vehicle unable to change and or select gear. Braking and directional control will not be affected.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to install a reinforcement support bracket to the clutch pedal pivot.
EXHAUST SLEEVE MAY DETACH
It has been established that the securing process for the exhaust tail pipe sleeve may not be to specification and result in the tail pipe sleeve detaching. This could cause an issue for other road users.
Recall all affected vehicles and secure the exhaust tail pipe sleeve.

Recall all affected vehicles and secure the exhaust tail pipe sleeve.
POSSIBILITY OF LOSS OF STEERING
Incorrect steering rack mounting bolts may have been fitted. As a result one or more of the heads on the 4 steering rack securing bolts may fracture due to embrittlement. This may present itself to the owner visually by missing bolt head/s and/or bolts from the steering rack securing brackets. This may lead to reduced steering control and ultimately loss of steering if all bolts were to fracture.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replacement all 4 steering rack securing bolts and associated Nyloc nuts and washers.

ENGINE MAY STALL
On certain machines the software data in the Engine Control Unit (ECU) may have to tight a limit on the throttle value signal. In rare cases this can cause the engine to stall and cause the rider to loose control of the machine.
Recall all affected machines and install new updated software.
TOWING BALL HITCH MAY DETACH
Electronically deployed tow hitch is automatically deployed by button located ion luggage compartment. The pivot uses a mechanical control link which is electrically adjusted. This is necessary to prevent a loosening or shaking loose of the end stop during driving. Due to a software error in the instrument cluster the driver may not in certain cases get prior warning if the adjustment fails. The consequences of this are that the ball hitch can shake loose from the end stop whilst driving. The control link can break due to the imposed load of the trailer and the hitch can pivot downwards causing loosening/detachment of the trailer and adversely affect the vehicle control.
Recall affected vehicles and reprogramme the control unit/instrument cluster.
BRAKING EFFICIENCY MAY BE AFFECTED
Some of the recalled vehicles will have been fitted with brake discs which have incorrect mechanical resistance characteristics. Vehicles with the incorrect brake discs fitted could have reduced braking efficiency and the discs could crack.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check which brake discs are fitted and where necessary fit the correct brake discs.
FRONT WIPER MAY FAIL
Due to a welding fault in the wiper motor assembly it is possible that the wiper may malfunction. In the extreme cases the wipers may fail totally.
Recall all affected vehicles and replace the wiper motor assembly.
WHEEL MAY LOCK UP
As a result of adverse tolerances at production wear at the rear-wheel bearings can be exceptionally high. The rear wheel can drag if this wear remains unnoticed for a long period of time.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected to check the bearings and where necessary replace the bearings.
THE SUSPENSION WISHBONE COULD FRACTURE CAUSING REDUCED CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE
It has been established that insufficient cross sectional area of the section of the wishbone may result in a fatigue failure of the wishbone. This could reduce the drivers control of the vehicle.
Recall the vehicles/components that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary replace the suspension wishbone with a quality controlled replacement.
BRAKING PERFORMANCE MAY BE AFFECTED
There is the possibility that air may have become trapped in the ABS hydraulic unit of the braking system caused by improper air bleeding during the factory brake fluid refill. In the worst case this can cause increased brake pedal stroke and/or decreased braking force.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the hydraulic unit (ABS) and bleed the brakes.
SEAT BELTS HAVE NOT BEEN INSTALLED CORRECTLY
In rare individual cases the connections of the belts to the front seats may not be installed correctly. As a result on a small batch of vehicles it cannot be completely ruled out that the restraint effect could be impaired with extremely high loads.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary correct the belt end fitting.
OIL MAY LEAK
An oil cooler pipe may have insufficient room to move freely. As a result the pipe will abrade. If the concern remains unnoticed oil can leak in the engine bay with an increased risk of fire. Additionally oil can leak onto the road and cause a loss of control to the subject vehicle and other road users. If the driver does not heed the low oil pressure warnings then engine damage could occur.
Recall all affected vehicles and replace the oil cooler pipes with a modified oil cooler pipe kit.
RISK OF FUEL LEAK
It is possible that fuel leaks could develop on the fuel pipes in the engine compartment. This could then leak onto the road surface or cause a risk of fire.
Recall all affected vehicles and install protection devices.
FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG MAY NOT DEPLOY CORRECTLY
The defect concerns the front passenger air bag. The skin of certain instrument panels was not correctly scored. In case of accident with air bag deployment the predetermined breaking point will not tear open resulting in the air bag deploying in the instrument panel. This will lead to insufficient restraint effect and possibly release of parts of the air bag system into the passenger compartment.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the instrument panel.
SIDE STAND MAY FAIL
The the main frame left hand centre stand lug may fail and allow the machine to fall over.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected to add a centre stand bracket to the left hand side of the motorcycle frame.
SIDE STAND MAY FAIL
The the main frame left hand centre stand lug may fail and allow the machine to fall over.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected to add a centre stand bracket to the left hand side of the motorcycle frame.
ALCOVE BED MAY COLLAPSE AND DISTRACT DRIVER
It is possible that the Screw fastenings for the alcove berth could shear and allow the bed to drop unto the driver and/or co-driver which could compromise the drivers ability to control the vehicle.
Modify fixings and repalce screws.

FRONT SUSPENSION SPRINGS MAY CRACK
The front suspension leaf springs could fail which will adversely affect the handling of the vehicle.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the front suspension leaf springs.
POSSIBLE RISK OF FIRE
It is possible that a poorly soldered joint could cause a high resistance on the Door Entry Guard circuit board. This can cause a risk of fire.
Recall all affected vehicles to check unit and replace if required.
IN EXTREME CASES FIRE MAY OCCUR
Due to an incorrect shape of the power seat reclining lever the switch may get stuck. This causes current to flow through the reclining motor which heats up. In the worst case the cushion from the power seat and surrounding parts may be damaged due to heat generated from the reclining motor.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the powered seat recliner levers and where necessary the adjuster assemblies.
FUEL MAY LEAK
Poor welding may have occurred on the front prop shaft due to a manufacturing equipment failure on the supplier's production line. In the worst case the weld may break and the prop shaft may interfere with and damage the fuel line sufficiently for fuel to leak.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary replace the propeller shaft.
VEHICLE MAY BECOME UNSTABLE
Either side front lower suspension arm can be damaged or broken due to improper welding by the supplier. This could cause the vehicle to pull to either side or can be unstable during driving.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary replace any defective lower suspension arms.
