VEHICLE MAY NOT MEET REQUIRED SAFETY STANDARDS
Necessary technical acceptance not carried out by Porsche AG prior to sale of certain Porsche company cars. As a result one pre-owned vehicle does not comply to the latest standards and related quality standards.
The one car affected will be bought back by Porsche AG through their Porsche centre network.
INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MAY INTERMITTENTLY GO BLANK
Due to a software issue the Instrument cluster may intermittently go blank.
Affected vehicles will be recalled to have the latest software installed/downloaded.
STEERING MAY BECOME RESTRICTED
A steering shaft coupling may not have been correctly manufactured. This may create a clicking noise and the steering may become restricted. In extreme instances the steering may lock.
On affected vehicles Check coupling and where necessary replace with a correctly manufactured component.

MOVEMENT MAY OCCUR ALONG THE LENGTH OF THE POWER STEERING SPLINE
it has been determined that the upper steering shafts on 2016-2017 GENERAL Vehicles may exhibit movement along the length of the power steering spline. In extreme circumstances this movement may ultimately result in separation of the shaft from the spline which may lead to the loss of steering. This movement may ultimately result in separation of the shaft from the spline which may lead to the loss of steering
Polaris is releasing this Safety Bulletin for dealers to install revised steering shaft hardware with a higher torque and clamp-load specification.
RPM MAY NOT DECREASE WITH THROTTLE OPERATION RISK OF FUEL LEAK
On affected machines there is a possibility that a bolt dropped into the air cleaner assembly during production could enter the throttle body preventing the decrease of RPM by throttle operation. On affected machines the fuel supply hose may not be correctly connected to the fuel injector which could result in a fuel leak.
Remove air cleaner inspect cleaner and throttle body for foreign material. Check fuel hose connection and re-route if required.
LOSS OF POWER ASSISTANCE TO STEERING
The driver may experience sudden loss of power assistance to the steering due to voltage irregularities in the Electro Hydraulic Power Steering system. The driver will have to apply increased effort to steer the vehicle.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and download new software to the inverter which can cope with voltage spikes and/or drops.

CVT DRIVE PULLY NUT MAY WORK LOOSE
Insufficient torque of the CVT drive pulley securing nut. On affected machines this may cause an abnormal noise leading to the risk of engine stopping and crankshaft damage
On affected machines replacement of CVT nut and crankshaft if required.
PROPELLANT IN THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG INFLATORS MAY HAVE DETERIORATED
The propellant (ammonium nitrate) in the inflator of the drivers and passengers front airbag inflator may deteriorate due to high temperature and humid conditions over a longer period in use. As a result the inflator body may rupture during airbag deployment in the event of an accident where the airbags are required to be deployed. The inflator body may rupture during airbag deployment with the potential to cause injury.
Replacement of the driver and passenger front airbag inflators.

RIGHT FRONT SEAT BELT PRE-TENSIONER MAY NOT MEET SPECIFICATION
The right front seat belt pretensioner may not conform to specification . This may adversely affect it's operation in the event of an accident.
Replace the pretensioner on affected vehicles.
CORROSION WITHIN THE TAILGATE STRUT ASSEMBLY COULD CAUSE THE STRUT TO FAIL
Non-conformity of a tailgate strut internal component may allow corrosion to develop. This may cause the strut to fail and the tailgate may not be held open.
On affected vehicles replace the struts.

Replace the pretensioner on affected vehicles.
INGRESS OF WATER AND CORROSION MAY CAUSE THE WIPER MOTOR TO FAIL
A nonconformity of the windscreen wiper motor breather system could in some cases result in the entry of water and complete jamming of the motor due to internal corrosion.
On affected vehicles replace the wiper motor.
REAR SEAT BELT PRE-TENSIONERS MAY FAIL TO RESTRAIN OCCUPANTS AS INTENDED
The rear seatbelt pre-tensioner ignitors may not perform as expected. This could increase the risk of injury to the seat occupants. The lock functions of the rear seatbelts are not impaired.
Recall the 3400 vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace any potentially affected seatbelts with quality assured units.
BALL JOINT MAY NOT BE SECURE
A small batch of wishbones may have been manufactured with out a ball joint secondary securing clip. This may allow the ball joint to dislocate from its location. The ball joint is unlikely to separate but without the securing clip ball joint dislocation could have an affect on the steering.
Recall affected wishbones and replace with a new version which will have the secondary securing clip.
ENGINE ECU HAS NOT BEEN CORRCTLY PROGRAMMED
Due to an error in the engine control unit software the engine may shut down when braking from slow speeds such as pulling up at traffic lights. This may also affect the vehicles ECO start system. It will still be possible to manually restart the vehicle.
On affected vehicles update engine and transmission control units.
STEERING KNUCKLE INCORRECTLY MANUFACTURED
Due to an error in production the left hand steering knuckle may not conform to specification. In extreme instances the knuckle may fail.
On affected vehicles check the knuckle and replace where necessary.
