THE TAIL LAMP MAY START FLICKERING WHEN RECEIVING A VOLTAGE CLOSE TO THE MAXIMUM (16V)
When the tail-lamp is receiving a voltage close to the maximum (16V) the tail-lamp may start flickering.
Check the production date of the tail-lamps if the fitted lamps are within the defective range replacement of the rear lamp/lamps will be required.
THE REAR SPOILER MAY BE FITTED SO IT IS OVER HANGING THE ROOF.
The rear spoiler may be fitted so it is overhanging the roof allowing contact with the roof when opening or closing the tailgate.
The rear spoiler will be inspected for correct installation. If needed the upper spoiler section will be replaced and the spoiler reattached to the vehicle.
IN CERTAIN CONDITIONS THE USER INTERFACE (UI ) ON AFFECTED VEHICLES DISPLAYS VEHICLE SPEED BUT NOT A UNIT OF SPEED(I.E MPH OR KM/H)
In certain conditions the user interface (�UI�) on affected vehicles displays vehicle speed but not a unit of speed (i.e. mph or km/h).
Tesla will deploy an over the air firmware update that will reintroduce the display of the speed unit when using Track Mode.
THE ROOF SPOILER MAY NOT HAVE BEEN BONDED TO THE REAR LID WITH THE SPECIFIED PROCESS MATERIALS
On all affected Polo vehicles there is a possibility that the roof spoiler may not have been bonded to the rear lid with the specified process materials.
On all affected vehicles the roof spoiler has to be replaced.
A LOSS OF LOW VOLTAGE SYSTEM SUPPORT MAY CAUSE THE AUDIO SUBSYSTEM TO BE UNAVAILABLE
On certain vehicles that are running firmware release 2022.8 and that experience a loss of low voltage system support the audio subsystem may become unavailable including the use of eCall functionality.
Firmware release 2022.12.3 or later reverses the power management process introduced in firmware release 2022.8 and maintains eCall audio functionality.
ONE GROUND CABLE IS INCORRECTLY INSTALLED
One ground cable is incorrectly installed which means an under dimensioned cable is incorrectly connected to the wrong grounding point.
Repair kits have been developed which include instruction on how to replace the affected cable.
A LOSS OF LOW VOLTAGE SYSTEM SUPPORT MAY CAUSE THE AUDIO SUBSYSTEM TO BE UNAVAILABLE
On certain vehicles that are running firmware release 2022.8 and that experience a loss of low voltage system support the audio subsystem may become unavailable including the use of eCall functionality.

THE FUEL TANK MODULE LOCKING RING HAS BECOME LOOSE
It has been found on a small number of vehicles that fuel tank module locking ring has become loose.
Check for the position of the locking tabs of the locating ring and rework if not correct.

THE LEVEL OF OIL IN THE GEARBOX MAY BE INSUFFICIENT
The level of oil in the gearbox may be insufficient.
The gear oil level on the affected vehicles must be checked and topped up if necessary.
THE COOLANT PUMP MIGHT HAVE A LEAKAGE.
On certain vehicles the coolant pump which is controlled by vacuum might have a leakage between the vacuum system and the coolant circuit.
Update the software of the coolant pump and replace the electrical switch valve on the affected vehicles. Additionally a check of the vacuum system for possible contamination with coolant or engine oil will be carried out as a precautionary measure for the vehicles in this recall without the so-called fail-boost function on the ESP system.

IN THE EVENT OF A FRONTAL COLLISION THE FRONT IMPACT SENSORS COULD BECOME DISCONNECTED AND THE AIR BAGS MAY NOT ACTIVATE AS EXPECTED
In the event of a frontal collision the front impact sensors could become disconnected and the air bags may not activate as expected.
Update the software in the Air Bag Control (ACU) the improved collision algorithm will ensure that airbags deploy properly in the event of a collision.
The Certificate of Conformity (CoC) and the registration card must be updated due to the stated gross vehicle weight rating being incorrect (4835 kg instead of 4955 kg).

DAMAGE CAN OCCUR IN THE AIR BAG CONTROL UNIT
Damage can occur within the vehicles Air Bag Control unit causing the warning light to be displayed and the Air Bag system deactivated.
Inspect the vehicles if the Air Bag warning light is already illuminated replace the control unit. If it is not update the software in the unit.

Certain vehicles could have an engine oil separator that may have been damaged prior to engine assembly.
Inspect the engine oil separator and if found to be damaged and/or leaking a replacement engine oil separator must be installed

IN SOME VEHICLESTHE FUSE IN THE HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM HAS BEEN PRODUCED IN PART WITH AN INSUFFICIENT AMOUNT OF EXTINGUISHING SAND
In some vehicles the fuse in the high-voltage system has been produced in part with an insufficient amount of extinguishing sand.
An insulating mat must be placed above the switching unit for the high-voltage battery in all of the affected vehicles.
