In transmissions for replacement free gearwheels 6th gear were installed that do not meet the specifications.
In some cases the free gearwheels 6th gear that were installed do not meet the specifications. For this reason extended full load operation in 6th gear can cause increased wear of thegearshift forks. In the event of a fault the gear change is not performed correctly. this could lead to a dual engagement of two gears. A dual engagement can result in a blocked rear wheel and/or a shear off of the gear wheels depending on the speed and road friction coefficient.
To check transmission number and if in affected range then the free gearwheel for 6th gear to be replaced.
One or both of the front panoramic sunroof drain tubes may be cracked this could result in water entering the interior of the vehicle. The wiring harness and body control unit (BCP) can be exposed to water and damaged.
