VEHICLE MAY MOVE FORWARD WHEN ENGAGING REVERSE GEAR
There is a possibility that the vehicle may move forward when reverse gear is engaged due to a defect in the gearbox software program.
Recall affected vehicles and re-program gearbox software.
POTENTIAL INSTABILITY UNDER HARD BRAKING
Under certain hard braking conditions the PCV (Proportion Control Valve) setting allows inappropriate brake force to be applied to the rear wheels. In these circumstances this may cause locking of the rear wheels leading to possible vehicle instability.
Recall affected vehicles and replace PCV with a modified unit.
FUEL MAY LEAK FROM FUEL FILTER
There is a possibility that fuel may seep from fuel filter housing due to external corrosion. A fire risk may exist.
Recall affected vehicles and replace aluminium fuel filter with a plastic fuel filter.
MACHINE MAY NOT BE ADEQUATELY SUPPORTED WHEN PARKED
There is a possibility that the side stand assembly securing bolts to main frame may become loose. The stand may not then adequately support the machine.
Recall affected vehicles to check and correctly tighten the side stand bolts.
POSSIBLE FUEL LEAK
Plastic fuel filter may leak.
Recall affected motorcycles and replace the plastic filter with a steel bodied type and a support bracket.
POSSIBLE FUEL LEAK
Plastic fuel filter may leak.
Recall affected motorcycles and replace the plastic filter with a steel bodied type and a support bracket.
AIR FILTER IN THE AIR INTAKE MAY IGNITE
There is a possibility that a foreign object may enter the air intake. Air intake efficiency could be reduced and the intake might ignite should for example a lighted cigarette be sucked into the system.
Recall affected vehicles and replace existing air intake with a modified air intake equipped with a steel grille.
AIR FILTER IN THE AIR INTAKE MAY IGNITE

Recall affected vehicles and replace existing air intake with a modified air intake equipped with a steel grille.
FRONT SUSPENSION STRUT MOUNTING STUDS MAY SHEAR
Due to flexing of the suspension strut mounting turret it is possible that the suspension strut mounting studs may shear. Should all 3 mounting studs shear the suspension strut may detach from the mounting turret.
Recall all affected vehicles for the fitment of upper and lower reinforcement plates to the suspension turret and the fitment of new strut mountings.

PARKING BRAKE MAY SELF - RELEASE
The parking brake lever cable is too long which may cause the locking mechanism to extend beyond the last tooth of the sector when the park brake is engaged. This condition may cause the parking brake to self-release.
Recall affected vehicles and replace parking brake cable with shorter cable. Additionally as part of the above recall the repair contained in Daimler-Chrysler Technical Service Bulletin 05i-801-99 relating to parking brake imbalance will be carried out on affected vehicles.
POSSIBLE IMBALANACE IN BRAKING EFFICIENCY
There is a possibility that a braking imbalance may occur due to the fitment of an incorrect sized brake cylinder.
Recall affected vehicles to check and replace if required a brake cylinder.
POSSIBLE IMBALANACE IN BRAKING EFFICIENCY
There is a possibility that a braking imbalance may occur due to the fitment of an incorrect sized brake cylinder.
Recall affected vehicles to check and replace if required a brake cylinder.
POSSIBILITY OF FUEL LEAKAGE
The diesel engine fuel feed and return metal pipes may fracture and leak if the vehicle is involved in a frontal collision.
Recall affected vehicles and replace the original fuel pipes with ones of improved specification.
POSSIBILITY OF REDUCTION IN VACUUM SERVO ASSISTANCE
A specific batch of vacuum pumps may have a potential defect (blockage) which may cause a reduction in servo assistance.
Recall affected vehicles and replace vacuum pump.
POSSIBILITY OF REDUCTION IN VACUUM SERVO ASSISTANCE
A specific batch of vacuum pumps may have a potential defect (blockage) which may cause a reduction in servo assistance.
Recall affected vehicles and replace vacuum pump.
POSSIBILITY OF REDUCTION IN VACUUM SERVO ASSISTANCE
A specific batch of vacuum pumps may have a potential defect (blockage) which may cause a reduction in servo assistance.
Recall affected vehicles and replace vacuum pump.
REAR WHEELS MAY LOCK UNDER HARD BRAKING
There is a possibility that under certain conditions when applying the brakes hard and suddenly as in a panic situation a locking of the rear wheels may occur. The vehicle handling will then become unstable.
Recall affected vehicles and replace brake proportioning valve with a modified type.
POSSIBILITY OF REDUCTION IN VACUUM SERVO ASSISTANCE
A specific batch of vacuum pumps may have a potential defect (blockage) which may cause a reduction in servo assistance.
Recall affected vehicles and replace vacuum pump.
REMOTE POSSIBILITY OF BRAKE FLUID CONTAMINATION
Vauxhall in conjunction with DETR and VI have agreed to conduct a Customer Care Initiative whereby drivers of old style Astra F models will be advised that brake fluid is a service item due to its' hygroscopic (water absorbing) tendency.
Customers will be offered a free inspection and a special promotion brake fluid change should the fluid be found to be outside the manufacturers specified limits. A minor modification to the vehicle bonnet will also be carried out to eliminate the remote possibility of water entering the engine compartment along the bulkhead and contaminating the brake fluid. It should be noted that this Customer Care Initiative is being recorded under the Code of Practice.
INSTABILITY AND LOSS OF DIRECTIONAL CONTROL COULD OCCUR
The TT proves to have a relatively narrow handling limit zone if extreme manoeuvres are undertaken at high speed which could lead in the worst case to a precise steering response to retain directional control. Instability and loss of directional control could occur. These characteristics have led to some customers objecting to the cars road behaviour. In an attempt to improve customer satisfaction the cars physical reactions are to be modified so the vehicles behaviour becomes more predictable at the handling limits.
Likely to be affected vehicles will be recalled for modifications to the suspension settings and the addition of a rear spoiler.
THE PASSENGER AIR BAG MIGHT REMAIN ACTIVE WHEN THE DEACTIVATE MODE HAS BEEN SELECTED
Due to a possible fault within the control switch the passenger air bag may not be deactivated when the switch is in the off position.
Likely to be affected vehicles will be recalled and the function of the deactivation control switch checked. Should a defective switch be found it will be replaced with a quality assured unit.
IMPEDED REAR ROAD WHEEL STABILITY COULD OCCUR
One of the three variants of de Dion rear axle tube assemblies may suffer from stress cracks between the rear hub to axle tube interface following extended use. This could result in impeded rear road wheel stability should failure occur.
Recall affected vehicles to check and/or replace rear axle.
DIESEL FUEL MAY DILUTE ENGINE OIL
A brass plug in the fuel injector body may come loose. If this happens diesel fuel will dilute engine oil. An increase in exhaust smoke may occur. There is also a possibility that oil and fuel would vent through the breather pipe to atmosphere.
Recall affected vehicles and check or replace fuel injectors.
