THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF UNEXPECTED BRAKING.
Yaw rate sensor out of specification the effect of which may result in unexpected braking
Likely to be affected vehicles will be recalled for inspection of the yaw sensors which will be replaced as necessary.
POSSIBILITY THAT THE FUEL HOSE MAY SEPARATE
Due to a possible manufacturing defect there is a risk that the fuel hose may separate where the rubber hose joins the metal connector. this may result in fuel leaking into the engine bay with the attendant fire risk.
Recall affected vehicles and replace pipe with modified type
POSSIBILITY OF QUENCHING CRACKS FROM HEAT TREATMENT IN THE MIDDLE HEX FLANGE SECTION OF THE WHEEL NUT
As part of the Heat Treatment process quench cracks can occur. These are not normally visible to the human eye. However if the nuts are over torqued during fitment they can appear.
Customer are being advised to check and replace cracked nuts with a quality assured replacement component.
FIXING BOLTS OF THE REAR SEAT BELT MAY NOT HAVE BEEN TORQUED ACCORDING TO SPECIFICATION
Fixing bolts of the rear seat belt on the height adjuster C pillar and body sill may not have been torqued according to specification
Recall likely to be affected vehicles check torque rear seat belts and tighten to specification.
THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL MAY NOT RETURN CORRECTLY
The accelerator pedal may not return correctly.
Recall likely to be affected vehicles and replace the accelerator pedal end stop.
POSSIBILITY OF PROGRESSIVE WHEEL LOCK
Possibility of progressive wheel lock.
Likely to be affected trailers will be identified and fitted with a new level of brake chamber whose internal design prevents the stated concern.
POSSIBILITY OF PROGRESSIVE WHEEL LOCK
Possibility of progressive wheel lock.
Likely to be affected trailers will be identified and fitted with a new level of brake chamber whose internal design prevents the stated concern.
ACCELERATOR PEDAL MAY STICK OPEN.
The accelerator pedal can become jammed in the fully open position.
Replace the accelerator pedal stop with a modified version.
AIR BAG MAY RUPTURE
The aperture in the dash through which the airbag deploys may not have been correctly finished so leaving a sharp edge. If deployed the air bag may rupture.
Recall affected vehicles remove deployment door inspect aperture and if necessary remove any sharp edges.
POSSIBILITY FOR ABS WARNING LIGHT NOT TO ILLUMINATE IF CIRCUIT FAULT OCCURS
The possibility exists for the ABS warning lamp not to illuminate despite there being a fault in the circuit
Recall likely to be affected vehicles and update instrument cluster with new software
POSSIBILITY OF LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL
The bearings which locate the support for the telescoping adjustment of the steering column may become displaced with possible loss of steering control if a securing clip is not fitted correctly.
Likely to be affected vehicles will be recalled during which a check of the steering shaft will be made. Should the shaft be faulty it will be replaced.
POSSIBLE RISK OF FIRE AND LOSS OF POWER ASSISTED STEERING
There is a possibility that the high pressure power steering pipe may contact the exhaust downpipe which may result in a risk of fire and loss of power steering assistance.
Recall affected vehicles check pipe for contact with exhaust and fit extra retaining bracket to power assisted steering pipe.
POSSIBLE LOSS OF ENGINE PERFORMANCE
There is a possibility of loss of engine performance
Recall affected vehicles and reprogramme new software for Engine Control unit
THE SPRING OF THE FOOT OPERATED HANDBRAKE MAY RUB ON THE MAIN WIRING HARNESS
Possibility that the spring of the foot operated handbrake may rub on the main wiring harness and damage it
Recall affected vehicles and fit a cover to protect the harness.
POSSIBILITY OF UNDERBONNET FIRE
The active cornering enhancement system pump banjo bolt may loosen and allow fluid to leak past the joint. Resultant oil contamination of the engine compartment may lead to an underbonnet fire.
Check the pump banjo union for leaks and tighten the union bolt to the specified torque where necessary.
INADEQUATE CRASH RESISTANCE FOR FRONT LEFT SEAT FRAME
Inadequate crash resistance for left hand front seat frame
Recall likely to be affected vehicles and fit a replacement seat
POSSIBLE LOSS OF SERVICE BRAKE
A potential fluid leak from the brake modulator may result in a reduction in the efficiency of the service brake or in the worst case complete failure of the service brake system.
Recall all potentially affected vehicles and fit stronger valve covers to the brake modulator.
THROTTLE MAY STICK IN OPEN POSITION
The throttle spindle within the throttle body may stick in the open position when the accelerator pedal is released.
Recall affected vehicles and fit a quality assured throttle body.
FILLING THE FUEL TANK MAY CAUSE AN ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE
There is a possibility that the ground connection between the thread of the tank filler neck and the connecting pipe to the fuel tank may not be sound which may result in an electrostatic charge which in rare cases could create a spark which could ignite fuel vapours in the area outside of the tank filler neck which could lead to a muffled detonation..
Recall affected vehicles inspect and if necessary rework ground connection.
POSSIBILITY OF AN OIL LEAK.
During cold starts the oil pressure relief valve may not respond quickly enough thus allowing excess pressure to build up causing the bottom of the oil filter to deform. This can cause oil to leak from the filter with the potential of a slip type accident.
Recall likely to be affected machines and fit a replacement oil filter.
TRACK ROD ADJUSTER MAY NOT BE POSITIONED CORRECTLY.
The track rod adjuster in the track rod tube may not have been correctly positioned prior to clamping. This could result in the clamping force on the adjuster being insufficient. In the worst case detachment of the track rod could occur and cause a loss of steering control.
Check the position of the track rod end adjuster and reposition it to comply with the specification where found necessary.
