POSSIBILITY THAT THE STARTER MOTOR WIRING LOOM IS INCORRECTLY POSITIONED
The possibility exists that the starter motor wiring loom has been positioned incorrectly. In consequence there is a risk that this could cause a short circuit.
Recall likely to be affected vehicles and correctly fit the wiring loom.
THE INJECTOR OIL SEAL ON THE CYLINDER HEAD COVER MAY BECOME DETACHED
The injector oil seal on the cylinder head cover may detach leading to heavy oil consumption and eventually if the oil pressure warning light is ignored engine seizure.
Recall affected vehicles and replace the cylinder head cover with a modified one.

FUEL LEAKAGE FROM THE FUEL TANK
It has been found that the clearance between the fuel tank insulator and the exhaust pipe is insufficient. During driving this may give rise to an increase in temperature around the fuel tank which may suffer reduced rigidity. At the same time the inner pressure of the fuel tank may increase causing the fuel tank and exhaust insulator to make contact. Should the surface temperature of the fuel tank exceed it's maximum permissible range partial melting may occur which could result in a fuel leak.
Recall affected vehicles and fit an insulator kit between the exhaust and the fuel tank.
PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG MAY SUFFER DELAYED DEPLOYMENT
The front passenger side air bag may suffer delayed deployment which in the worst case scenario could result in passenger injury
Affected vehicles will be recalled at which time the airbag will be replaced with a unit which complies with the correct deployment assessment criteria.
POSSIBILITY OF INNER THROTTLE CABLE STICKING
Due to moisture and dust ingress the inner throttle cable may stick.
Recall affected vehicles and replace the throttle cable end cover or the cable assembly as necessary.
CONTAMINATED AIR MAY BE DRAWN INTO INTAKE SYSTEM
There is a possibility that contaminated air may be drawn into the engine air intake system (eg Cigarette ends)
Recall affected vehicles and fit a protective grille over air intake pipe.
POSITIVE ALTERNATOR CABLE MAY RUB ON CHASSIS SIDE CROSS MEMBER.
There is a possibility that the positive alternator cable may rub/chaff on chassis side member
Recall affected vehicles replace bracket and clamps and adjust positive cable routing on chassis.
CONTAMINATED AIR MAY BE DRAWN INTO INTAKE SYSTEM
There is a possibility that contaminated air may be drawn into the engine air intake system (eg Cigarette ends)
Recall affected vehicles and fit a protective grille over air intake pipe.
INCORRECT SPECIFICATION OF DRAWBAR CROSSMEMBER
It has been identified that a number of vehicles have been produced whereby the rear cross member which carries the drawbar coupling assembly has been incorrectly specified.
Recall affected vehicles and replace the crossmember with one manufactured to the correct specification.
POOR WELD BETWEEN DOWN TUBE AND BOTTOM BRACKET TUBE
A small number of frame failures have occurred because of poor weld/metal fatigue at the lower cross bar/chain wheel down tube joint.
Recall the bikes that are likely to be effected and replace the bike.
IMPROVE THE PROTECTION OF FRONT BRAKE HOSES
It has become necessary to check the front brake hoses and improve their protection. In extreme cases wear on the hose caused by chafing against the wheel arch could cause a brake fluid leak. The presence of which would initially illuminate the red warning lamp on the dashboard.
Recall likely to be affected vehicles and check the condition of the front brake hoses. If found to suffering a chafe situation the hoses will be changed. If not the hoses will be checked for orientation and fitted with an additional protective device.
THE GATEWAY FUNCTION IN THE EBS IS NOT ACTIVATED
The red indicator lamp for the EBS function will not activate when a trailer with EBS is connected. The EBS functionality is not affected.
Recall likely to be affected vehicles and initiate the appropriate software function.
THE SIDE AIR BAG WIRING MAY BE INCORRECT
The wires for the Air Bag Unit block connector were incorrectly located for the side airbags which could result in the opposite side air bag being ignited
Recall affected vehicles to check and if necessary correct control unit
REAR WHEEL SENSORS INCORRECTLY CONNECTED.
There is a possibility that the rear wheel sensors may be incorrectly connected which if ignored could result in loss of vehicle stability under braking/acceleration
Recall affected vehicles and check/rectify wheel sensor connections
ENGINE SPEED MAY REDUCE OR SHUT DOWN DUE TO SOFTWARE ERROR
It is possible that the engine speed may reduce or in extreme cases shut down due to a software error in the engine management unit
Recall affected vehicles and install revised software in the control unit. In most cases this will resolve the problem. In isolated cases it may be necessary to replace the control unit.
POTENTIAL FUEL LEAK
The possibility exists that the inlet nipple on the fuel distribution rail may crack. Should this occur the potential exists for a fuel leak additionally the risk of fire.
Likely to be affected vehicles will be recalled at which time the distribution rail and the fuel supply pipe will be changed.
REAR BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER CONNECTING ROD END MAY FRACTURE
The connecting rod push rod end may suffer from corrosion and this could cause binding and sticking of the rear brake pedal. Continued use of the brake in this condition may result in fracture of the connecting rod end which could result in loss of rear braking force.
Recall affected machines and replace connecting rod with one made of steel instead of aluminium.

FAULTY REAR SEAT BELT LOCKS
It has been identified that on a number of Tourag vehicles the rear seat belts may have been fitted with locks which have a revetting defect.
Recall likely to be affected vehicles and check the rear seat belt locks for compliance. Should they be found to be suffering from the defect the locks will be changed.
SEAT OCCUPANCY DETECTOR MAY FAIL AND INPACT ON AIRBAG PROTECTION
The front seat occupancy detector can fail to detect that a seat is occupied with the result that the front and associated side air bags and seat belt pre-tensioners may fail to operate in the event of a collision.
Recall likely to be affected vehicles and carry out full coding of the ECUs reprogramming as necessary.
POSSIBILITY THAT THE REAR FUEL LINE MAY CHAFE AGAINST HARNESS
Rear fuel line may chafe with ABS/ Water sensor and fuel pump harnesses with the possibility that a fuel leak may develop
Remove original convolute tubing and replace with smooth PVC tape. Additionally change fuel line and re-route the wiring harness to run to the side of the fuel lines.
POSSIBILITY OF THE LEFT HAND CHILD LOCK DISENGAGING
It has been identified that if the left hand rear door is repeatedly operated with the child lock engaged disengagement of the lock can occur. This will allow the door to be opened from the inside when it is believed to be locked. This is due to the incorrect setting of the hot melt riveting machine.
Recall all the affected vehicles and replace the left hand rear door lock with a quality assured component.
