THE LOCKING MECHANISM FOR CONVERTIBLE TOP MAY FAIL
There is a possibility that when the convertible top is closed the convertible top is not completely locked even though the warning lamp is extinguished. This could lead to the roof opening whilst the vehicle is in motion.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and fit modified locking-mechanism motors. In addittion check that the correct locating pegs are installed and that the convertible top is set correctly.
POSSIBLE ENGINE CUT
There are two scenarios from essentially one defect in that the washer for the side stand spring bolt does not have sufficient hardness and may deform. This deformation could cause the side bolt to flex and fracture during side stand operation. In this scenario the side stand would not remain in the retracted position which would be obvious to the operator. In the second scenario remembering the side stand is fitted with an ignition cut-off system if the side stand pivot bolt corrodes the corrosion may allow the side stand to retract but later with vibration drop. If this happens the engine could cut-out without warning.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and fit countermeasure washer and new spring bolt and nut.
THE MAIN STAND BOLTS MAY BECOME LOOSE
Due to repeated use of the main stand the welded nut on the stand bracket may become detached. The stand could then potentially become completely detached from the machine.
Recall likely to be affected machines which will be modified in the following way. 1. 2001 machines. Inspect the condition of the main stand brackets replace the stand bolts and fit additional washers and lock nuts. 2. 2002/03/04 machines. Replace the main stand brackets and bolts and fit additional washers and lock nuts.

THROTTLE CABLE MAY JAM
There is a small possibility of small objects becoming lodged between the throttle valve stub and the engine block. A foreign object lodged in this position could block the movement of the throttle cable pulley and this in turn could lead to a critical situation on the road.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and fit covers to the throttle cable pulleys.
MAINS WIRING SYSTEM INSULTATION PROBLEM
Within the mains input socket the wiring insulation may have been cut back too far leaving bare wire exposed.
Recalled vehicles will have the mains input socket box removed during which time the wiring connections will be remade ensuring that no bare wire is visible.

INCORRECT GEAR AND STEERING KNUCKLE FITTED
As a result of an incorrect steering gear and steering knucle combination being fitted during manufacture the front tyres may contact the lower front suspension arms when the steering is turned on to a full lock.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace both the steering knucles. Additionally the lower suspension arms and tyres will be checked for damage.
POSSBILITY THAT THE STOP LAMP COULD FAIL
In the stop lamp switch of subject vehicles equipped with LED stop lamps there is the possibility that silicone oxide may be generated the surface of the contact point and in consequence the resistance of the contact could increase. In this circumstance current may not flow causing the stop lamp to become inoperative.
Recalled vehicles will have the subject switch replaced with a quality assured unit.
RISK OF OVERHEATING IN THE LCM
The possibility exists that the light control module may overheat
Recall likely to be affected vehicles and upgrade the software.

SPINFLO COOKER EARTH WIRING ISSUE
The earth wire could be incorrectly positioned in a connector block which could result in the Spinflo cooker not having a permanent earth connection. If certain other conditions were also met the cooker could give an electrical shock.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and check the wiring behind the cooker with the wiring instructions. Where neccessary refit the earth wire in the correct position.
WINSCREENS MAY FAIL
The possibility exists that a number of windscreens have been manufactured with an interlayer which may cause the windscreen to fail in the event of it being impacted by a larger than normal object.
Affected vehicles will have the windscreen replaced.

TV SCREEN MAY NOT SWITCH OFF WHILST THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION
It has been identified that the TV will be viewable by the driver whilst the vehicle is in motion if the TV is being operated in the full screen position when the vehicle is stationary and a call through the in car phone system is either made or received and not ended prior to the vehicle being set in motion.
Recalled vehicles will have the high level front display unit reprogrammed with a revised level of software thus ensuring that the TV screen is switched off whilst the vehicle is in motion.
THE PILLION SEAT FIXING BOLT MAY WORK LOOSE
The pillion seat fixing bolt may work loose possibly resulting movement of the seat or in worst cases detachment of the seat.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and fit a revised method of attachment for the pillion seat.
