DVLA recall archive
The archive holds 15,570 DVLA vehicle safety recalls dating back to 1992. Filter by manufacturer, year, or keyword. To check whether a specific vehicle is affected by an outstanding recall, run a live VRM recall check for £1.99.
Showing 13051–13075 of 15,570 recalls.
ABS MAY FAIL
In certain exceptional circumstances (constant use of the ABS) it is possible for the ABS to stop functioning. This is as a result of excessive pressure building up in the ABS system.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and fit modified brake discs which will decrease the volume in the brake system caused by very high temperatures and thereby discourage the 'overpressure' effect.
ENGINE MAY STALL
The mounting bolts of the vehicle down sensor may loosen and in the worst case the down sensor may detach from the bracket causing the engine to stall whilst being ridden or the engine not to cut out in the event of a fall.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and tighten the down sensor mounting bolts to the specified torque.
BRAKES MAY SEIZE ON
It has been identified that the front brake lever rocker may have been fitted with components which are significantly out of line. In the worst case this could result in the brake lever becoming seized in the brake applied position thus preventing the front brakes from being released. With the potential for an accident to occur.
Recalled machines will be fitted with a replacement rocker or the front brake lever.

POSSIBLE LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL.
There is a possibility of welds cracking on the steering wheel. In extreme circumstances if the symptoms are ignored the cracks can progress into total separation causing loss of steering control.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the steering wheel with a redesigned steering wheel.
POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO FUEL TANK
In the event of a front tyre travelling over a sharp object the object could be propelled towards the rear of the vehicle and possibly damage the front edge of the fuel tank.
Recalled vehicles will have a protective shield fitted to the fuel tank vulnerable area.
REAR SEAT BELT WEBBING MAY BE DAMAGED IN A FRONTAL IMPACT
There is a possibility that during a frontal impact and under specific circumstances the rear seat belt webbing may be damaged. This could increase the risk of injury to an occupant during an impact.
Recalled vehicles will have a protector fitted to the affected seat belt area.
CLUTCH MAY FAIL
The possibility exists that on a certain number of vehicles air pockets can build up in the clutch hydraulics system which will lead to difficulty in changing gear and selecting neutral..
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the central clutch release bearing the bracket for the clutch booster and the clutch control unit.
BRAKES MAY OVERHEAT
On axles with parking brake it has been found that some brakes are binding which can cause overheating of the brakes.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the brake pads.

Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the brake pads.
POSSIBILITY OF FIRE
The grommets for the alternator protection fall out and the wires chafe against the alternator body. In the worst case fire could ensue.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and where 140A alternators are fitted replace the protective casing grommets and plugs.

AIRBAG MAY INADVERTENTLY DEPLOY
In some circumstances there is a possibility that the side airbag may inadvertently deploy.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and fit additional springs to the front seats so that any electrostatic discharge will correctly earthed.
REDUCED BRAKING PERFORMANCE
It has been identified that under certain conditions a valve within the brake servo may have a shortened service life due to high ambient and engine bay temperatures. This could affect the functioning of the servo resulting in reduced braking performance
Recalled vehicles will have the subject valve checked and replaced if necessary.
REAR SEAT CENTRE BELT MIGHT NOT RESTRAIN THE SEAT OCCUPANT IN A FRONTAL IMPACT
It has been identified that during the manufacturing process the lock bar may not have been fitted to the belt retractor. In the worst case the restraint function of the rear seat centre belt might not operate correctly in the case of a frontal impact.
Recalled vehicles will have the rear centre seat belt inspected and replaced if necessary.
FRONT QUICK RELEASE MAY FAIL
It has been identified that in certain cases it is possible that after the quick release as fitted to the front wheels of road and off-road bicycles has been locked into position the quick release axle could fail or break simultaneously. Should this occur the rider may lose control of the bicycle and injury might ensue.
Subject bicycles will be recalled and have the quick release assembly replaced.
FUEL MAY LEAK - POSSIBILITY OF FIRE
It has been identified that the fuel line is sensitive to the extreme temperatures that occur in the area where the turbo and exhaust manifold are located. This can result in a fuel leak a non-start and in extreme cases a fire.
Recalled vehicles will have the existing fuel line replaced with one made from Teflon which is capable of withstanding the extreme temperatures encountered.

POSSIBILITY OF A FUEL LEAK
It has been identified that fuel pipes may chafe against the induction and charge air pipe.
Recalled vehicles will have the subject fuel pipe replaced and prevented from chafing against the induction and air charge pipes.
STEERING MAY FAIL
Under continuous exceptionally hard use it is possible for the track rod end ball joint to fracture. In extreme cases this could lead to loss of steering control.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace both the nearside and the offside outer track rod ends.
SEAT BELT STALK MAY DETACH
It is possible under certain conditions for the seatbelt stalk fixings on the first row of rear seats to become loose.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to remove the bolts retaining the stalks of the affected seatbelts. Thread adhesive is to be applied to the bolts then the bolts are to be refitted and torqued.
