SEATS MAY DETACH
Passenger seats may detach during a collison
Recall affected vehicles and secure seats as per the seat manufacturers recommendations
ABS SYSTEM COULD FAIL TO OPERATE
It is possible for water to ingress into the ABS brake system override switch and warning light causing a failure of the switch and warning lamp. This will lead to the ABS system not working and the rider being unaware of the situation. The brakes will function but without the facility of ABS.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected to replace the original ABS system override switch with a modified item.
POSSIBILTY OF POOR BRAKING PERFORMANCE
Some Terracan vehicles were produced with reduced metal thickness on the front brake discs between the disc surface and flange. Abnormal noise and poor braking performance may result.
Recall affected vehicles and measure brake disc with specialst tool. If metal thickness is less than 4.5 mmm replace disc
REAR ALLOY ROAD WHEEL MAY FRACTURE
In extreme driving conditions it is possible that the rear wheel/s may fracture.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and check that H.T. is stamped on the inside of one of the spokes. I there is no such marking the wheel/s must be replaced.
AIRBAGS MAY NOT INFLATE DURING A COLLISION
Due to improper assembly of the airbag inflator used in the side airbag curtain shield airbag and knee airbag systems the subject airbags may not fully inflate during a collision resulting in an increased risk of injury to the vehicle's occupants.
Recalled vehicles will have the subject airbags replaced.

Recalled vehicles will have the subject airbags replaced.
BRAKE FLUID MAY LEAK
It may be possible for the handbrake cable to foul the rigid brake pipe at the right hand rear suspension arm. In time this could lead to wear of the rigid brake pipe and as a consequence there maybe a loss of brake fluid and longer stopping distances.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check the routing of the handbrake cable and fit rubber pads to the rigid brake pipe to prevent fouling.

REAR SEAT ISOFIX BRACKETS MAY NOT PERFORM AS DESIGNED IN A SIDE IMPACT
A concern has been identified with the rear seat ISOFIX brackets of some E11 Note vehicles. In that the brackets may have been manufactured incorrectly with the potential that the brackets may not perform to the design intent in the case of a side impact. In addition the brackets may not conform to the required EC legislation.
Recalled vehicles will have the subject seat brackets replaced.

FRONT SEAT PASSENGER AIRBAG MAY ACTIVATE WHEN TURNED OFF
The airbag and seat belt pretensioner ECU system may be incorrectly programmed.
Affected vehicles will be recalled and airbag sensors replaced.
RISK OF FIRE
An isolated case of a fire appears to have originated in the wiring harness adjacent to the fuel tank.
Recall affected vehicles check and secure wiring replacing any damaged cables.
SUSPENSION MAY SEPARATE
Rear suspension toe link assembly could separate and vehicle control could be compromised.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to inspect the number on the toe link assemblies and where necessary replace the assembly.
POSSIBLE OF LOSS OF POWER STEERING
The possibility exists that power steering may be lost due to chafing of the power steering fluid pipes.
Recalled vehicles will be fitted with clips; and a spacer to separate the power steering fluid pipes.
ENGINE MAY STALL.
It is possible for the camshaft sensor plate mounting bolts to loosen. If the vehicle continues to be used in this condition the sensor plate and bolts may fall off resulting in an engine stall and inability to restart.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and tighten the sensor plate to the specified torque. Only replace parts if they are seen to be damaged.

FRONT BRAKE ACTUATED STOP LIGHT MAY REMAIN ILLUMINATED
Certain 2203/2004 883R & 1200R Sportster motorcycles may have a fault which leaves the brake light illuminated after the release of the front brake lever.
Recalled machines will have the front brake master cylinder seal replaced.
POSSIBILITY OF ENGINE CUT OUT
It has been identified that the fuel pipe connector between the engine fuel line and fuel tank may not be totalled secured. This may result in a disconnection of the fuel line with the possibility of engine cut out and loss of fuel onto the road surface. Whilst the vehicle is in the dealership the opportunity will be taken to carry out a slight modification to the alternator to prevent the possibility of a short circuit occurring with other components.
Recalled vehicles will have the integrity of the fuel line connector checked. Additionally the alternator cable will be modified by removing a portion of sleeving that may be in contact with the end eyelet.

FRAME MAY CRACK AND DETACH
It has been identified that there may be a weld of insufficient strength joining a mounting bush to the attachment bracket of the main rear suspension pivot. The circular bush is joined by two opposing welds of approximately a quarter of the circumference each. Under heavy use the welds can develop a fracture and prolonged use in this condition can lead to detachment.
Recalled machines whether displaying the concern or not will have the brackets over-welded around the full circumference of the bush. In cases where the fracture has opened up a modified frame will be fitted.
STEERING MAY LOCK
On identified models it has been established that under certain conditions the steering locking mechanism may operate whilst the vehicle is being driven.
Recalled vehicles will have the control module reprogrammed and checks made to ensure adequate lock plate clearance. If necessary the lock plate will be replaced.
RISK OF ENGINE WIRING LOOM SHORT CIRCUIT
It has been identified that the risk of a short circuit exists between individual wires of the engine wiring loom.
Recalled vehicles will have the engine wiring loom checked for condition and wear and will proceed as follows. If no wiring cores are visible a protective sheath will be fitted to the wiring loom. If the core of one or more of the wires is visible the wiring loom will be replaced.
