FIRE MAY OCCUR
The electric cooling fan control unit's metal cover may not have the correct corrosion protection. Should corrosion occur water may enter the control unit causing an electrical malfunction and in extreme cases cause a fire in the engine compartment.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to fit an improved fan assembly.
INCORRECT FRONT TIRE FITTED TO THE VEHICLES WHICH MAY CAUSE PERFORMANCE ISSUES.
A tyre (90/90-19) which is a size that has not been tested on these machines has been fitted to front wheel. This could lead to the machine not performing to expectations and the possibility of an accident.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected to replace the front tyre for one of the correct size (100/90-19).

AIRBAG MAY DEPLOY IRREGULARLY
The airbag may deploy in an irregular fashion and possibly cause the passenger personal injury.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the airbag bracket with a countermeasure part.
CAB MAY TILT UNEXPECTEDLY
It has been identified that some vehicles may have left the production facility with insufficient torque having been applied to the lower fixation of the cab tilt cylinder.
Recalled vehicles will have the torque of the fixing checked and adjusted as necessary.

It has been identified that some vehicles may have left the production facility with insufficient torque having been applied to the lower fixation of the cab tilt cylinder.
Recalled vehicles will have the torque of the fixing checked and adjusted as necessary.
ROOF BARS MAY FAIL
It has been identified that certain after market roof cross rails (not supplied by Alfa Romeo) could set up resonance frequencies within the rail that could in time lead to breakage of the longitudinal roof rails.
Recalled vehicles will be fitted with a new set of longitudinal roof rails.
DROPSIDE PANEL MAY DETACH
It has been identified that the possibility exists that breakage of the dropside hinge fastening plate may occur on vehicles fitted with a factory installed dropside body. This can result in the detachment of the dropside panel.
Subject vehicles will be recalled at which time the hinge fastening plates will be changed.
ENGINE MAY STALL
In extreme circumstances vibration may cause the pick up coil lead wires to break causing the engine to stall.
Recalled machines will be fitted with a modified pick up coil.
AIR BAG MAY FAIL
The airbag warning lamp may illuminate. Airbag activation system is disabled. In worst case the airbag may be activated unintentionally.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the central processing unit.

Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the central processing unit.
ENGINE MAY CUT OUT
It has been established that when the rear seat is occupied the deformation of the seat back may cause a brief interference between a protection plate and an electrical connector. This can result in the main fuse blowing causing the engine to cut out.
Recalled vehicles will have an additional plastic cover placed over the subject electrical connector.
WIPERS MAY DETACH
It has been identified that on some Passat vehicles the windscreen wipers may fail to operate because of a software fault.
Affected vehicles will have a cap for the windscreen wiper motor fitted
MALFUNCTION OF CLUTCH CONTROL MAY LEAD TO BRAKE FAILURE
A malfunction within the clutch control may occur which if 1st or 2nd gear is selected it may not be possible to stop the vehicle using the service brake.
Recalled vehicles will have the gear control unit replaced. Additionally following checking the clutch control unit may also require replacement.
POTENTIAL LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL
It has been identified that the front suspension ball joints may separate causing loss of control.
Recalled machines will have the front suspension ball joints replaced with quality assured items.
FRONT SEAT HEATING ELEMENTS MAY OVERHEAT
It has been identified that the front seat heating elements may overheat. This in extreme circumstances may result in an interior fire.
Recalled vehicles will have both front seat heating elements replaced.
ROOF LIGHT IN OVERHEAD CAB MAY BECOME DETACHED
Roof light in vehicle overhead cab pod may become detached and possibly be a danger to other road users.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to test and where necessary re-bond the roof light.
STEERING MAY BE IMPEDED
Front fender may contact Voltage Regulator and impede steering operation.
Recall affected machines and relocate Voltage Regulator
HANDLEBARS MAY CRACK
Handlebars bearing part No 59782-06/A may crack and eventually fracture
Recall affected machines and fit replacement handlebars bearing part No 59782-06B
POSSIBLE PARTIAL DETACHMENT OF FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER ARM.
It has been identified that a number of vehicles have been produced with front suspension lower arm bolts which may have been tightened to an incorrect torque. In this condition failure of a bolt may result in partial detachment of the arm from the subframe which could adversely affect the steering and stability control.
Recalled vehicles will have the subject bolts checked for correct torque and tightened if necessary. Should any bolt be found to be damaged it will be replaced.
SUSPENSION SPRING MAY FRACTURE
It has been identified that during manufacture insufficient wax was applied to the front of the rear axle road springs. This in extreme circumstances can lead to failure of the spring.
Recalled vehicles will have the rear road spring front mounting brackets replaced.
HANDBRAKE ASSEMBLY MAY BECOME INSECURE
It has been identified that the welding operation on the sleeve end panel of the handbrake system may not have been correctly carried out. This could result in greatly reduced handbrake efficiency.
Recalled vehicles will have the subject assembly strengthened.
RISK OF REAR WHEELS LOCKING UP WHEN DRIVING.
Water may be present in the rear brake actuators which in certain circumstances can cause the rear brakes to lock up when driving.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to drain any water from the rear brake actuators.
