SIDE AIRBAG GAS GENERATOR CANISTER MAY FAIL
For certain vehicles manufactured within a specific period it is possible that the gas generator housing may be damaged if a side airbag is deployed. If the airbag/s were deployed the gas generator could explode and dislodge small metal parts which could cause injury to the vehicle occupants.
On affected vehicles check the dates of manufacture of side airbags and replace where necessary.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and check the dates of manufacture for the left and or right side airbags. Where a possibly affected airbag is found it will be replaced.
SUNROOF MAY INJURE OCCUPANTS WHEN IT IS CLOSED FROM OUTSIDE VEHICLE
On certain vehicles with Panorama sun roof the legally specified limits of the clamping forces for convenience opening and closing of the sun roof may not be kept. When closing the Panorama sun roof from outside with the vehicle key (convenience closing) if any body parts are in the operating area of the sun roof they can get pressed against the roof frame and possibly get injured.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and deactivate the convenience opening and closing of the Panorama sun roof. To do this the software for the on-board supply control unit and the sun roof control unit must be updated/ configured.

ENGINE MAY NOT START
Due to none conformity during manufacture the resistance of the insulated base inside the Engine Control Unit (ECU) which controls the electric motor may decrease. As a result the voltage in the circuit may become unstable causing the warning light to illuminate and the driving motor power to be restricted to the fail safe control. In the worst case scenario the vehicle may not be able to be restarted and the battery may not be able to be charged.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the engine ECU.

1. AIRBAGS MAY FAIL TO DEPLOY OR 2. AIRBAGS MAY DEPLOY WITHOUT OBVIOUS CAUSE
Due to corrosion of internal components the SRS control unit may fail. This will deactivate SRS components such as airbags or in rare instances cause an SRS component to unintentionally deploy.
On affected vehicles replace the SRS control Unit.
DRIVER'S AIRBAG MAY FAIL TO DEPLOY CORRECTLY
Abnormal deployment pressure may lead to rupture of the driver's air bag inflator case. In the event of an inflator rupture metal fragments could be propelled into the passenger compartment
On affected vehicles replace the inflator inside the driver's air bag module.
SHORT-CIRCUIT MAY OCCUR / RISK OF FIRE
The pre-heater power cable after time may exhibit chafing damages caused by movement over the support bracket on which the cable is attached. If the insulation is worn through this may result in short-circuit and if all the indicators are ignored the worst case scenario is fire.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and inspect the power cable to pre-heater to ensure there is no damage or contact with any abrasive surfaces or edges. The cable should be replaced if there is significant damage. Correct clamping by adding a rubber spacer at each of the two concerned clamping points according to instruction below. Also add a 7 mm spacer washer under the existing cable tie at the pre-heater relay box.
OIL MAY LEAK
Oil may leak as a result of incorrect sealing rings (O-rings) which have been fitted on the oil pipes connected to the filter housing and cooling duct. Oil may pool when the engine is running and the vehicle is at a standstill endangering other road users.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace both oil pipes with new ones (delivered complete with new sealing rings).
OIL MAY LEAK
It has been established that on some vehicles the hydraulic hose feeding the engine fan may sustain chafing damage due to insufficient clamping which may over time result in severe oil leakage.
On affected vehicle Inspect the hydraulic hose for damage and replace if necessary. Secure pipe with a new type of clamp and align the frame bracket according to manufacturer's instruction.
DOOR MAY OPEN UNEXPECTEDLY
A manufacturing defect in one of the components of the door locks could cause jamming of the internal mechanism and prevent the closing of one or more of the vehicle's doors. In rare cases the door could unlock and open unexpectedly.
On affected vehicles check and where necessary replace door locks.

On affected vehicles check and where necessary replace door locks.
BRAKING EFFICIENCY MAY BE REDUCED
The circlip on the bearing bracket for the pedals may detach. If this occurs the brake pedal will become unsecured axially and come out of one of the two bearings leading to decreased brake functionality.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and check the fitment of the circlip and replaced as necessary.
SEAT BELT BUCKLE STRAP MAY FAIL
The seat belt buckle fitted to the second row rear seat/s may have been damaged during the production process at the supplier. In the event of an impact the seat belt buckle strap could fail and not restrain the occupant correctly.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check the batch numbers and where necessary replace the seat belt buckle.

DURING CAB TILT CAB COULD FALL WITHOUT ANY DAMPING
There is a potential risk of an internal oil leakage in the cab tilt cylinder. As a consequence during cab tilt the cab could fall when over top dead centre without any damping .
On affected vehicles replace reservoir filler plug. Inspect tilt ram and cylinder and where necessary replace.
BRAKE PEDAL MAY FAIL AND MAKE HARD BRAKING IMPOSSIBLE
On affected vehicles the retaining clip for the pivot shaft of the brake pedal bearing may have inadvertently been lost during assembly. Movement of the shaft may affect braking efficiency and in extreme cases cause loss of braking.
Inspect pivot shaft mounting and where necessary fit a new clip.
FUEL MAY LEAK / RISK OF FIRE
There is a possibility of a fuel leak via fuel pump sub harness because of a problem with the moulding tool used to manufacturer the sub harness. A fuel leak could heighten the risk of fire.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and replace the sub harness with one of a new design.
