POWER STEERING ASSISTANCE MAY FAIL
It has been established that the casting for the heat sink on the Electric Power Steering (EPS) control unit may be out of specification. In extreme cases this can cause a failure of the EPS motor which will illuminate a warning light on the dash. Whilst directional control is not affected it is possible that the driver will experience a sudden loss of power assistance.
Recall all affect vehicles and replace the EPS control unit.
REAR BRAKE SWITCH MAY FAIL
The rear brake lamp switch may become exposed to temperatures that degrade its performance. This condition may affect brake lamp function and /or cause a brake fluid leak through the rear brake switch affecting rear brake performance.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary replace the rear brake lamp switch using the recall kit.

FUEL MAY LEAK
Fuel pipes may fail causing a leakage of fuel.
Replace all engine fuel pipes
FUEL MAY LEAK
It is possible that air has been trapped within the fuel pump mounting cap mouldings which could lead to the cap cracking and fuel vapour and/or fuel might leak from the tank.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the fuel pump mounting cap.

STEERING MAY BE AFFECTED
Due to a none conformance to specification the front crankshaft pulley inner and outer rubber mounted section may separate. If the separation occurs noise will become apparent the ignition warning lamp may illuminate and in the worst case the power steering drive belt may detach from the pulley which will result in the driver having to significantly increase their effort to steer the vehicle especially at low speed.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary replace the crankshaft pulley.

FUEL MAY LEAK
Due to nonconformity of the of the fuel lines it is possible that a slight fuel leak could develop.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected to replace the fuel pipes and where necessary refit the flange bolts with thread locking compound.

SEATBELT MAY FAIL
There is a possible issue with the security of the lower seat belt mounting bolt which could cause it to loosen. If this were to occur then the bolt could ultimately fully unwind and detach. This could result in the occupant not being restrained by the seat belt in the event of a collision.
Recall all affected vehicles and replace the lower seat belt mounting bolts.
POWER STEERING ASSISTANCE MAY BE INOPERATIVE
On a number of right hand drive vehicles it has been established that the electrical wiring harness to the power assisted steering control unit for the Electric Power Steering (EPS) has not been secured correctly. Vehicle vibration could cause a break in the connection between the harness and the control unit. Should this occur the EPS warning light will illuminate on the dash and the driver will experience heavier steering control although control of the vehicle is not lost.
All affected vehicles will be recalled for the fitment of a modified bracket and securing clip.
LOWER CONTROL ARMS MAY FAIL
The front Transverse links (lower Control Arms) may corrode leading to possible breakage if left without treatment.
Either additional rust proofing or replacement of the Transverse links will be performed according to the degree of corrosion.
ENGINE SPEED MAY INCREASE UNINTENTIONALLY
It is possible that the internal contact resistance of the crimped joints for the grounding between the throttle position sensor (TPS) and engine control module may increase due to engine vibration. This can lead to an increased TPS voltage output which could lead to an increase in engine revolutions whilst at idle without any throttle input.
Recall all affected vehicles for the installation of a new wiring harness.
LOWER CONTROL ARMS MAY FAIL
The front Transverse links (lower Control Arms) may corrode leading to possible breakage if left without treatment.
Either additional rust proofing or replacement of the Transverse links will be performed according to the degree of corrosion.
ESP MAY NOT FUNCTION CORRECTLY
Possibility of improper ABS/ESP/TCS function during extreme driving conditions due to production failure of certain ESP units.Normal braking is not affected.
Check ESP unit and if affected replace the ESP unit.
SIDE STAND SWITCH MAY NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY
In certain circumstances the mounting bolts for the side stand switch can work loose. This can result in the switch moving and could allow the machine to be ridden with the side stand in the lowered position. This creates an obvious danger hazard to the rider.
Recall the affected machines and replace the mounting bolts with a new fixation kit.
BRAKING EFFICIENCY MAY BE AFFECTED
It is possible that the piston in the foot (Service) brake caliper (Bosch) may stick in the applied position. If this occurs then it is possible that the front brakes may overheat which could cause the brake fluid to boil and result in reduced braking efficiency.
Recall the affected vehicles and replace the caliper with a new Bosch unit.
FUEL MAY LEAK
On vehicles equipped with 75 or 100 gallon dual-fill fuel tanks the unused fuel-filler cap assembly was produced with a hose of the incorrect material. During normal usage the hose material may deteriorate which can result in a fuel leak. This can result in a risk of fire or depositing fuel onto the road surface.
Recall all affected vehicles and replace the fuel-filler cap assembly.
FIRE MAY OCCUR
On vehicles fitted with the General Motors L18 petrol/gasoline engine it is possible the retaining clip for the fuel rail pulse damper may not have been correctly heat treated. This could result in the retaining clip fracturing without warning which will not retain the damper and allow pressurised fuel to spray onto the engine. If an ignition source is present it may cause an engine bay fire.
Recall all affected vehicles and replace the fuel rail damper retaining clip.
