HEADREST MAY NOT PERFORM CORRECTLY IN A COLLISION
On affected vehicles the head restraints may not conform to required specifications. In the event of an accident they may not provide adequate protection to vehicle occupants.
Replace head restraints on affected vehicles.
DIRECTIONAL CONTROL MAY BE COMPROMISED
Front wheel bearing housings with insufficient hardness may have been fitted. This can lead to a fracture of a wheel bearing housing which can affected the directional control of the vehicle.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check the casting dates of both front wheel bearing housings. Where the affected wheel bearing housings are found they will be replaced.

POSSIBILITY OF LOSS OF CONTROL
The front shock absorber (strut) mounting for the anti-roll bar rod may not be welded correctly. If the welding should fail there will initially be noise leading to the possibility for adversely affected vehicle handling because the anti-roll bar will no longer be connected the risk of contact and damage to the wheel rim tyre brake hose and ABS cable.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and check the shocker absorber (strut) build dates. The shock absorber that are in the affected range will be replaced.
STEERING MAY FAIL
Due to a flaw formed in the forging process the suspension arm may have been weakened. This may cause the arm to fracture and affect vehicle control.
Recall and replace affected suspension arms.

FIRE MAY OCCUR
Grease applied to the contact points inside the ignition switch may carbonize by heat which is generated from an arcing when the moving side leaves the fixed contact point. The carbonized grease can cause the switch to smoke and in the worst case a fire may occur.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and fit a new ignition switch.
SHORT CIRCUIT MAY OCCUR
It is possible that during the manufacturing process the coating on the Occupant Restraint Control (ORC) printed circuit may not have been applied correctly. If the coating has been applied incorrectly it can result in lead salts forming which can cause a resistive short across the ORC module printed circuit board(s). Atmospheric humidity may increase the potential for this condition to occur. Should this occur then it will cause the airbag warning lamp to illuminate and potentially disable the passive restraint system. Ultimately this can result in an inoperative passive restraint system (airbag) which could increase the risk of injury in the event of a collision.
Recall all affected vehicles to replace the ORC module.
REAR SHOCK ABSORBER MAY FAIL CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE MACHINE
The rear shock absorber piston rod nut may come loose. The shock absorber performance may be affected possibly causing a loss of machine control.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and check if the machine is fitted with an affected shock absorber.Any affected shock absorbers will be removed and returned to Ohlins service centre for counter measure repair.

BRAKE LAMPS MAY NOT FUNCTION
There is no inherent problem with the brake lamp switch. However if the brake lamp switch did fail the driver would not be informed that the brake lamps were not working or the adaptive cruise control or pre-collision braking. The brake lamps not working would increase the risk of an incident during normal driving.
