PASSENGER AIRBAG MAY NOT DEPLOY AS INTENDED
A connection between the detonator and generator in the front passenger airbag module may not be correctly welded. Therefore the airbag may not be triggered in the event of a collision.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the front passenger airbag module.
CENTRAL HINGE IN REAR SEATS MAY FAIL UNDER LOAD
In the event of heavy breaking such as an emergency stop or an impact with heavy luggage in the boot the rear seats central hinge may break. There would be no prior warning to the customer. In extreme circumstances may cause the luggage to enter the passage compartment.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and fit a reinforcing bracket.
FUEL MAY LEAK
On vehicles fitted with the high power R diesel engine fuel may leak from the fuel feed pipe connection at the high pressure pump. Drivers would feel a lack of power from the engine and possibly smell diesel.
On affected vehicles replace the feed pipe with a new version.
PASSENGER AIRBAG MAY NOT DEPLOY AS INTENDED
Due to a process deviation in the production front passenger airbag module the connection between detonator and generator may not be sufficient. This may cause the airbag not to deploy as intended.
On affected vehicles replace the front passenger air bag module with a correctly manufactured version.
LOSS OF POWER ASSISTANCE TO STEERING
In certain cases a driver may experience sudden loss of power assistance to the steering due to voltage irregularities in the Electro Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) system.
This is a further action to a previous recall. On affected vehicles the invertor software is to be further updated to cope with voltage spikes / drops and to improve fault tracing. The braided earth cable will also be replaced by a copper cable to ensure the invertor earthing is secured.

THE FLOATING PISTON IN THE FRONT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER MAY CRACK
A manufacturing defect exists in a production batch of front brake master cylinder components which MV AGUSTA has installed on a series of F4 RR and F4 RC model motorcycles. The defect in the front brake master cylinder could cause it to malfunction during normal use of the motorcycle leading to a loss of front braking ability and increasing the risk of a crash. Specifically crack generation on the front brake master cylinder PPS (polyphenilene sulphide) piston connecting the internal pressure area to the external surface. The consequence is that the front brake may not participate in stopping the bike properly. The rear brake is not affected and works correctly.
Replace the synthetic piston in the front brake master cylinder with one made from aluminium machined from solid billet guaranteeing a higher strength material as well as eliminating the possibility of porosity.

IT MAY BE POSSIBLE TO START THE VEHICLE WITHOUT DEPRESSSING THE CLUTCH PEDAL.
The clutch pedal inhibitor may fail and it will then be possible to start the vehicle in gear without pressing the clutch pedal down.
On affected vehicles fit a modified clutch inhibitor switch to prevent this.

BOLTS ON THE EXHAUST SIDE OF THE TURBOCHARGER ASSEMBLY MAY BE INCORRECTLY TIGHTENED
Affected vehicles have a 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel engine. There is a possibility that the bolts on the exhaust-side of the turbocharger assembly may not have been correctly tightened during manufacture.
On affected vehicles check bolts. Where necessary replace the turbocharger.

HANDBRAKE MAY DISENGAGE UNEXPECTEDLY
On the subject vehicles the tolerances of the teeth on the handbrake sector gear are outside Mazda Corporations design secifications. This reduces engagement between the handbrake sector gear and the ratchet pawl and can cause the handbrake to disengage unexpectedly. This could cause the parking brake to release unintentionally and the vehicle to move unexpectedly.
Replacement of Handbrake lever mechanism.
THE FLOATING PISTON IN THE FRONT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER MAY CRACK
Because of a manufacturing fault the floating piston in the front brake master cylinder may crack under high stress conditions typical of track use frequent ABS interventions or if a machine is dropped. This could reduce the efficiency of the front brake.
On affected machines replace the floating piston in the front brake master cylinder with a modified version

INADVERTANT AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT
When combined with a damaged steering column control module clock spring and insufficient grounding of the steering column an electrostatic discharge may lead to an inadvertent deployment of the driver's airbag. Drivers will be alerted to a potential fault by the airbag warning in the instrument cluster and an additional warning message.
On affected vehicles install a contact bridge and a contact spring that will provide a suitable ground for the steering column.
POSSIBILITY OF A FUEL LEAK
There is a possibility that the resin weld between the fuel tank and the fuel inlet pipe may be insufficient because the fuel tank and fuel inlet pipe were misaligned during the manufacturing process.
On affected vehicles replace the fuel tank with a correctly manufactured version.
FUEL LINE MAY LEAK
Due to material imperfections the fuel delivery line may leak at line unions. This is more likely after prolonged use.
On affected vehicles replace the fuel delivery line.

On affected vehicles replace the fuel delivery line.
WATER MAY ENTER REAR LIGHT WIRING HARNESS AND CAUSE CORROSION
Due to a manufacturing error water may enter a rear light wiring harness. This may cause corrosion and may adversely affect operation of the rear lights
On affected machines replace the harness and check for other corrosion. If other corrosion is present replace or repair components.
