SHIFTER CONTROL UNIT (SCU) UPGRADE.
A voltage fluctuation may occur when the vehicle is switched off and in the parked position resulting in a temporary disengagement of the parking mechanism.
The vehicles identified require a software update for the Shifter Control Unit (SCU).
SOME VEHICLES DO NOT HAVE AN AUDIBLE WARNING WHEN THE REAR FOG LAMP IS LEFT SWITCHED ON
The audible warning when the rear fog lamp is left switched on the ignition is switched off and the driver�s door opened on some vehicles does not function.
Update the dash cluster software to include an audible warning function.
THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM EVAPORATOR HOUSING DRAINPIPE MAY HAVE BEEN INCORRECTLY MANUFACTURED
The drainpipe of the evaporator housing of the air conditioning system may have been incorrectly manufactured leading to water accumulating and dripping onto the airbag control unit.
Check the drainpipe of the evaporator housing. If found to be incorrectly manufactured the drainpipe must be modified and the airbag control unit replaced.
SPORADIC MALFUNCTIONS IN A PRESSURE CASTING SYSTEM CAUSED INDIVIDUAL REAR WHEEL BEARING HOUSINGS TO BE FITTED WITH OXIDE INCLUSIONS
On Tiguan LWB vehicles of a limited production period sporadic malfunctions in a pressure casting system caused individual rear wheel bearing housings to be fitted with oxide inclusions.
On the affected vehicles the production date of the two rear wheel bearing housings is checked and if necessary replaced.
VEHICLES FITTED WITH TAKATA DRIVER AIRBAGS EQUIPPED WHICH MAY NOT FUNCTION AS INTENDED WHEN DEPLOYED
Vehicles fitted withTakata driver airbags equipped which may not function as intended when deployed.
Replace the affected driver airbags on the affected vehicles

Individual bolts or chain links of the camshaft timing chain might wear in case of a long term operation under specific driving conditions.
Replace the camshaft timing chain on the affected vehicles
POTENTIAL DAMAGE TO THE TYRE STRUCTURE AROUND THE TYRE BEAD
Tyres may have been damaged in the manufacturing plant.
Visually check the affected tyres and replace them if necessary.
