FRONT HUB CAP MAY COME LOOSE
The front hub cap may loosen and allow the ingress of road grit and water. Subsequent failure of the hub bearing may result.
Fit an inproved design hub cap.
POSSIBLE ELECTRICAL SHORT CIRCUIT
The B+ cable can chafe against the cab anchorage. This will cause the insulation on the cable to wear and ultimately result in a short circuit.
Examine B+ cable for chafing damage and repair or renew as appropriate.
DETACHABLE TOW BAR MAY WORK LOOSE
A combination of internal and external forces caused the towball to prematurelydetach itself from the towball housing resulting in separation of the trailer from the drawing unit.
All towballs and housing will initially be modified and then replaced with calibrated units at a later date.

AIR BAG MOUNTING MAY LOOSEN
Part of the horn operating mechanism may foul the drivers air bag module and cause it to become loose on its mounting.
Replace the air bag mounting plate.

AUXILIARY DRIVE BELT CONCERN
A fault in the alternator drive pulley may cause the auxiliary drive belt to break which would result in a loss of power assistance to the steering. A broken drive belt may also damage the cambelt and cause engine failure.
Fit a modified alternator drive pulley

BRAKE VACUUM PUMP CONCERN
The brake vacuum pump may fail and cause a reduction in brake servo assistance. This will make the brake pedal heavy to operate.
Fit a modified brake vacuum pump.

POOR CABLE TERMINAL CRIMPS
The cable terminal crimps in the rear plate terminal block and battery box fuse block may be inadequate. The nut securing the ring cable terminal (terminal block) may also be insufficiently tight.
Check the crimps by pulling the specified cables. Repair where necessary by undoing and re crimping or soldering. Tighten ring cable terminal securing nut where necessary.

BRAKE REACTION TIME
On vehicles fitted with air suspension it has been found that the brake reaction time is too slow. This is due to an air flow restriction caused by the diameter of the brake piping being too small.
Recall affected vehicles for the fitment of larger diameter brake piping and connector between the front air tank and the footbrake valve.
ENGINE LIFTING EYE CONCERN
Due to engine vibrations the nearside (left hand) lifting bracket eye may crack and possibly break when lifting the engine out.
Recall affected vehicles and cut off the eye from the engine lifting bracket.
BRAKE CHAMBER MOUNTING BRACKETS
The drive and trailing axle brake chamber mounting bracket welds may be faulty and subsequently crack.
Recall affected vehicles examine the mounting brackets and renew where necessary.
