DVLA recall archive
The archive holds 15,570 DVLA vehicle safety recalls dating back to 1992. Filter by manufacturer, year, or keyword. To check whether a specific vehicle is affected by an outstanding recall, run a live VRM recall check for £1.99.
Showing 751–775 of 1,008 recalls.
CAB MAY TILT UNEXPECTEDLY
It has been identified that some vehicles may have left the production facility with insufficient torque having been applied to the lower fixation of the cab tilt cylinder.
Recalled vehicles will have the torque of the fixing checked and adjusted as necessary.

ENGINE MALFUNCTION LIGHT MAY ILLUMINATE
On petrol engined vehicles it has been found that the PCV (Positive Crank Ventilation) nipple may crack or become loose resulting in an air leak. This could cause a whistling sound and may cause the engine malfunction lamp to operate.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the PCV nipple.

GEARBOX HEAT SHIELD IS NOT AS PER SPECIFICATION
The incorrect gearbox heat shield has been assembled which does not fulfil the manufacturers demand regarding fire resistance.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the heat shield.

Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the heat shield.
CAB HEATER DOES NOT MEET LEGLISLATION REQUIREMENTS
Some ADR vehicles have a common cab heater assembled instead of a cab heater for ADR vehicles. Because of this the ADR vehicles do not fulfil the ADR Regulations.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the cab heater if the vehicle has been fitted with the wrong specification heater.

WEIGHT INFORMATION LABEL HAS BEEN SUPPLIED WITH INCORRECT INFORMATION
On subject vehicles it has been identified that the wrong information has been given on the product label in respect of the maximum permitted front axle weight.
Recalled vehicles will have the label (which is a legal requirement) replaced.
TAG AXLE HUB MAY DISLODGE
It has been identified that due to a misalignment of the weld and poor root penetration of the weld fillet material the TAG axle hub may dislodge from the axle.
Affected vehicles will have the TAG axle replaced.

Affected vehicles will have the TAG axle replaced.
POSSIBLE FAILURE OF OFFSIDE REAR BRAKE CAMSHAFT
It has been identified that the possibility exists that the offside rear brake camshaft may be subject to failure caused by excessive force imparted due to the upgrading of the spring brake chamber. In the event of camshaft failure braking effort will be lost at the affected wheel station.
Recalled vehicles will have both rear spring brake actuators changed.
ENGINE MAY FAIL
It has been identified that due to a possible communication error between the Central Electronic Module (CEM)and the Engine Control Module (ECM) the engine may over run and break down.
Recalled vehicles will have new software downloaded into the CEM
POSSIBLE LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL
The ball joint of the steering link rod may detach due to wear between the pin and the housing leading to loss of directional control
Recall affected vehicles and replace link rod with new version
SHORT CIRCUIT TO CABIN HEATER
The supplementary cabin heater may have a short circuit which normally leads to the battery being 'drained'. In extreme cases fire may occur.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to disable the heater. This is a temporary measure until the root cause has been found and a permanent fix can be developed and applied.
HEADLIGHTS AND REAR LIGHT MAY BECOME DISABLED
The NOx sensor has a built in over voltage protection which is triggered by a voltage above 32 volts. When this is over the voltage protection and is active faults codes can be produced for example Headlight and Rear Lights can be disabled.
Recall affected vehicles and modify software.

EXHAUST FUMES MAY ENTER THE CAB
It is possible for the exhaust pipe of the parking heater to be squeezed and restricted which could result in exhaust fumes entering the cab.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the exhaust pipe and clamp. Additionally the drain hole on the exhaust silencer is to be closed.

BRAKES MAY OVERHEAT
On axles with parking brake it has been found that some brakes are binding which can cause overheating of the brakes.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the brake pads.

FUEL MAY LEAK - POSSIBILITY OF FIRE
It has been identified that the fuel line is sensitive to the extreme temperatures that occur in the area where the turbo and exhaust manifold are located. This can result in a fuel leak a non-start and in extreme cases a fire.
Recalled vehicles will have the existing fuel line replaced with one made from Teflon which is capable of withstanding the extreme temperatures encountered.

STEERING MAY FAIL
Under continuous exceptionally hard use it is possible for the track rod end ball joint to fracture. In extreme cases this could lead to loss of steering control.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace both the nearside and the offside outer track rod ends.
STEERING MAY FAIL
It has been identified that a number of vehicles may have left the assembly plant without a split pin in the track rod end securing nut. In this condition it is a possibility that the securing nuts may work loose.
Recalled vehicles will be checked for the presence of the split pins and if theses are in place no additional work will be carried out. If the spilt pins are found to be missing the assembly will be dismantled and then re-torqued ensuring that the split pins are in place.
