Install updated software.
Emergency open door warning software Update
On affected vehicles the Emergency door buzzer does not work when the passenger door is opened using the emergency switch.
Install updated software.
Seat Recliner
On affected vehicles equipped with manually operated front seats there is a potential issue on the front seats due to insufficient welding strength between the recliner and the lower bracket on the seat backrest which may compromise the backrest’s ability to provide optimal occupant protection in the event of an impact.
Inspect both front seats and install additional brackets as required.
M0387 Silencer particulate filter insert gasket replace
On affected vehicles there is a risk DPF bypass leakage can occur due to gasket assembly and material issues at the supplier. The bypass leakage can lead to excessive particle number emissions from the engine and after treatment system.
Remove DPF and fit an improved gasket.

HV Battery
On affected vehicles following charging there is a risk of an overheating High Voltage Battery Cell which could lead to a risk of fire.
Volvo Cars is confident that limiting the battery s maximum state of charge to 70% will eliminate the risk of overheating. Additionally we would advise the following precautions. Do not leave your vehicle unattended whilst charging within buildings or covered areas. If you see any vehicle warnings in the car or app during or after charging seek assistance. The HV Battery modules will be inspected and replaced.

C0519 Front axle screws retightening/replace
On affected vehicles there is a risk that screws for the front axle attachment might lose torque or come loose. It might lead to strange behaviour of the truck and noise and in worst case loss of steering control.
Check the torque level on the screws retorque and if necessary replace parts.

Front seat belts
On affected vehicles the front left seat bolts may not have been torqued according to specification which could reduce the occupant protection in an impact.
Re-torque front seat bolts.
C0506 - HPCU SW update. FHE/FME/FMLE (4) (Phase 1) / C0520 IRMU replace. FHE/FME (4) (Phase 2) / C0521 IRMU replace FHE/FME/FMLE (4) / FLE/FEE (3) (Phase 3)
On affected vehicles the AC inlet socket and the power outlet for body builder equipment might be incorrectly energized. Therefore in vehicles where AC or DC power outlets are installed there might be voltage with low leakage current inadvertently present inside the AC inlet socket when the power outlet is active. Also when AC charging there might be a voltage with low leakage current inadvertently present on the power outlet.
The insulation monitoring device (IMD) will be replaced by an upgraded version a residual current device (RCPF sensor) will be installed inside the insulation resistance measurement unit and the OCEPS software will be updated. For vehicles built after 2025w21 until 2025w37 will also have the EMC filter reinstalled.

POT Separation
On affected vehicles there is a risk the tailgate could close rapidly and cause injury due to a production issue with the Power Operated Tailgate (POT) drive units.
Replace both Power Operated Tailgate (POT) drive units.
Seatbelt Torsion Bar
For affected vehicles there is a potential defect in the torsion bar within the front seatbelt system.
Replacement of the affected seat belts.
VASP (Volvo Active Safety Platform) software update
Affected vehicles instrument clusters may not show the correct values regarding the Driver Support Systems.
Affected vehicles will have their software updated.

Engine management system (EMS)/Enginecontrol module (ECM) software update
On affected vehicles the Engine Management System (EMS) Software causes an error where the Malfunction Indication Lamp (MIL) will not indicate a defective Lambda sensor so the driver will not be alerted upon a failure resulting in a non-compliance to emissions regulation.
Install updated software to the Engine Control Module (ECM).
