INTEGRATED STARTER GENERATOR BELT BELT MAY FAIL
Due to a lack of strength in the Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) Belt may break during usage. If this happens the water pump will become inoperative and the charging light will illuminate. The coolant temperature warning light will also light due to an increase in coolant temperature. In the worst case scenario the engine may stall and not restart.
On affected vehicles replace the ISG belt.

DRIVE CHAIN MAY STRETCH COME OFF OR BREAK
When upshifting between first and second gear if the rider fails to engage second gear a neutral condition will exist continued opening of the throttle will cause high engine RPM. If the rider shifts in to second gear without disengaging the clutch under the very high RPM condition an excess load can be applied to the powertrain. This could cause the drive chain to stretch and in the worst case the drive chain could come off or break.
Replace ECM. Inspect drive chain if free play is detected replace drive chain assembly.
BATTERY MAY FAIL TO CHARGE WHICH COULD CAUSE ENGINE TO STALL AND LIGHTS TO FADE
Due to incorrect software in the Engine Control Module (ECM) the ENG A-STOP (Engine Auto Stop Start System) OFF light may blink & the ENG A-STOP system may become inoperative. If the car is driven continuously in this condition the lead-acid battery will not be charged. In the worst case there is a possibility that the lights will dim and the engine may stall and not restart due to low battery voltage.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and reprogramme the ECM with corrected software.

CVT DRIVE PULLY NUT MAY WORK LOOSE
Insufficient torque of the CVT drive pulley securing nut. On affected machines this may cause an abnormal noise leading to the risk of engine stopping and crankshaft damage
On affected machines replacement of CVT nut and crankshaft if required.
RPM MAY NOT DECREASE WITH THROTTLE OPERATION RISK OF FUEL LEAK
On affected machines there is a possibility that a bolt dropped into the air cleaner assembly during production could enter the throttle body preventing the decrease of RPM by throttle operation. On affected machines the fuel supply hose may not be correctly connected to the fuel injector which could result in a fuel leak.
Remove air cleaner inspect cleaner and throttle body for foreign material. Check fuel hose connection and re-route if required.
POOR SOLDERING TO IGNITION SWITCH
Poor soldering to wiring of ignition switch leading to poor electrical conduction. This could cause the engine to stop while in use.
Affected motorcycles are being recalled to have the ignition switch replaced.
DRIVER MAY BE UNABLE TO CHANGE / SELECT GEAR
Due to insufficient strength of the gear shift rear shaft it could break off during use.
On affected vehicles replace the gear shift rear shaft
THROTTLE MAY NOT ACT AS INTENDED
The waterproof boots for the throttle cable may not be manufactured to specification. The boots may deteriorate and allow water ingress. The water could freeze in low ambient temperatures causing the throttle not to perform as intended.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and replace the throttle cable
ENGINE MAY STALL AND/OR FAIL TO RESTART
The insulation material of wiring for the stator may be damaged by engine heat and a short-circuit between the wiring may occur. Continued use of the motorcycle with this condition may cause the generating current of the stator coil to be reduced and insufficient charging to the battery may result. In the worst case it can lead to the engine stalling during running and/or the engine may be impossible to restart.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and replace the Stator Set.

BRAKE AND TAIL LIGHTS MAY FAIL
Water ingress may occur in to the harness which can cause corrosion inside the brake light switch. Continued use in this condition can cause a short circuit to occur in the internal circuit of the brake switch. In the worst case the fuse could melt causing the brake and tail lamps not to activate.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the brake light switch.
BRAKING PERFORMANCE MAY BE REDUCED
The brake servo booster may not have been correctly manufactured. This may cause a harder feel to the brake pedal operation and require more effort from the driver.
Replace Brake Servo Booster on affected vehicles.
BRAKING EFFICIENCY MAY BE REDUCED
The rear calipers may not have been manufacturer to design specifications. as a result the seals may allow brake fluid to leak. This may affect brake efficiency but the brake fluid level warning light will illuminate before the reservoir is depleted .
On affected vehicles replace rear calipers
1. POSSIBLE LOSS OF DRIVE 2. THROTTLE MAY STICK 3. RISK OF FIRE
1) The kick starter may not be correctly secure and slip during use. 2) A bolt may have dropped into the air cleaner during assembly. If a bolt is in the air cleaner assembly it is possible for it to enter the throttle body causing the throttle to stick so the rpm cannot be reduced by throttle operation. 3) A fuel hose connector may not have been properly fitted to the injector which can lead to fuel leakage increasing the risk of fire.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and 1) Torque kick starter nut to 55NM 2) Check for foreign material in the air cleaner box. 3) Insert fuel feed pipe onto injector until secure
FRONT AIRBAGS MAY NOT DEPLOY CORRECTLY
The stitch spaces on the front seat back trims may be incorrect and tearing strength of the trim can be higher than normal. In the event of a collision it is possible that the inflation force of the airbag will not be enough to tear the trim.
On affected vehicles replace seat back trim.
REAR AXLE MAY FAIL
The fixing bolts for the rear axle were mixed with bolts that have no anti friction coating. It is possible that a bolt/s may loosen come off or break and the vehicle could become impossible to drive.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace rear axle bolts.

ENGINE MAY STALL AND/OR FAIL TO START
The adhesive used to fix the circuit board to the outer casing of the regulator/rectifier may have been affected by moisture. Due to the insufficient adhesion the heat generated can cause the circuit board to deform and lift away from the case. This condition causes excessive heat and uncontrolled electric current output which can result in the poor charging to the battery battery discharge the engine stalling and or a No-start condition.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and replace the regulator rectifier.

ENGINE MAY STALL
It is possible for contamination to get between the tappet and the cam and cause surface damage and wear to the cam. If this condition occurs the valve clearance can become large and cause abnormal engine noises and in worst case engine to stall.
Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and check the tappet clearances and in some cases replace cams and adjust tappets.
