    Rear Brake reservoir cap screw tightening

    Defect

    For affected machines the tightening torque of the screws for fixing the rear brake reservoir tank cap was insufficient. If the motorcycle continues to be used in this condition the screw might be loosened.

    Remedy

    Tighten the rear brake reservoir tank cap screws to the specified torque during factory assembly.

    On affected vehicles equipped with a combination meter system where various information is displayed (warning and indicator lights vehicle gauges messages etc.) due to improper programming the memory device within the combination meter can deteriorate. If this occurs the monitor will not be displayed after IG-ON and will remain in this state permanently. Driving without speedometer and any warning may result in an increased risk of an accident in certain driving conditions.

    Remedy

    For Across (PHEV) models check and install modified software or if necessary replace the combination meter. For Swace models install modified software.
