DVLA recall archive
The archive holds 15,570 DVLA vehicle safety recalls dating back to 1992. Filter by manufacturer, year, or keyword. To check whether a specific vehicle is affected by an outstanding recall, run a live VRM recall check for £1.99.
Showing 1–25 of 121 recalls.
Battery check
Certain vehicles manufactured during a limited production period a high-voltage battery module may not meet quality standards. This may result in significantly reduced autonomy a yellow warning light coming on or a thermal overload inside the high-voltage battery. A thermal overload of this kind may cause a fire in the vehicle
A battery check is carried out on the vehicles. If the check identifies high-voltage battery modules which may be faulty the identified modules must be replaced.
CUPRA Roof Box
Affected roof boxes could be fitted with defective plastic covers on the locking mechanism which may lead to damage to the roof box itself and to the vehicle. In extreme cases the lid of the roof box can detach and fly off.
Replace defective roof boxes.
Passenger airbag replacement
In some SEAT EXEO (3R) vehicles within the specified range of VINs with a front passenger airbag by Takata a deterioration of the propellant could occur due to high air humidity and temperature changes. As a result in the event of an accident and the activation of the front passenger airbag fragments of the generator housing could become detached and injure the passengers.
The front passenger airgbag must be replaced.
Takata front drivers or passenger airbag replacement
Urgent Safety Warning – Do Not Drive Your Vehicle Issue: The front airbag in your SEAT vehicle contains an ageing inflator propellant that may explode when deployed due to long-term exposure to heat and humidity. Risk: If the airbag inflator explodes metal fragments may be ejected causing life-threatening or fatal injuries to anyone in the vehicle. Immediate Action Required: Stop driving your vehicle immediately. Contact the SEAT Takata Stop Drive helpline at 0113 526 9646 (Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm) to arrange your recall service. Mobility assistance is available if needed.
For important safety reasons it is necessary to replace the inflator or driver/passenger seat’s airbag module of your vehicle.

Passenger airbag replacement
On affected vehicles defective passenger airbags may have been fitted. On affected vehicles the passenger airbag should be deactivated and the passenger seat not used until the recall action has been completed.
Affected vehicles will be checked and the passenger airbags replaced if necessary.

Passenger airbag replacement
Takata has advised that in the event of an accident with airbag activation the front passenger airbag gas generator housing may explode. The cause may be a deterioration of the propellant caused by high air humidity and temperature changes during an extended period of time. In the event of an accident with front passenger airbag activation fragments from the gas generator can cause injuries and endanger the life of the passengers.
Replace the passenger airbag as necessary.
Drivers side front airbag
On affected vehicles a deterioration of the driver airbag propellant could occur. In the event of an accident and the activation of the driver airbag fragments of the generator housing could become detached and injure the vehicle occupants.
The driver side front airbag gas generator must be replaced in all affected vehicles.
Driver's side front airbag

Replacement of curtain airbag
In Terraco vehicles within a specified range of VINs curtain airbags with a defective gas generator may have been installed due to a manufacturing error. A defective gas generator may cause the airbag not to work correctly and therefore not provide the required level of protection. In the event of an accident where the curtain airbag is deployed components from the gas generator may become detached and injure vehicle passengers
Replace curtain airbag
On certain vehicles with electromechanical brake servo and DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox) of a limited production period there is a possibility that a heat protection mat was incorrectly fitted. In individual cases the brake fluid reservoir can melt and cause a brake fluid leak into the engine compartment.
