Showing 401–409 of 409 recalls.
POSSIBLE FIRE RISK
Under certain circumstances the fuel filter outlet pipe union may contact the heating element fitted to the fuel filter body. This will result in a short circuit with possible fire risk.
Recall the subject vehicles for the inclusion of a fuse link in the fuel filter heating element circuit and the fitment of a clip to ensure that the filter outlet pipe union is held clear of the element body.
CHAFING OF FOG LAMP WIRING LOOM
The left hand fog light wiring loom may chafe in the area of the towing eye. This could cause a short circuit with possible risk of fire.
Recall the affected vehicles and check the condition of the loom adjacent to the towing eye. Where contact damage has occurred this will be repaired and in all cases the wiring loom will be protected by the addition of a foam rubber block
BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER ATTACHMENT
Due to the effect of corrosion on the aluminium spacer at the master cylinder mounting it is possible for the brake master cylinder to detach from the airpac unit rendering one half of the service brake system inoperative.
Recall the affected vehicles for the fitment of a re-designed spacer to the brake master cylinder mounting.
1) BONNET CATCH MECHANISM MAY LOOSEN. 2) SEAT BELT PRE-TENSIONERS MAY BE FAULTY.
1) Bonnet catch securing bolts may slacken in service allowing movement of the lock mechanism. This may result in the bonnet lifting. 2) Autoliv-Klippan seat belt pre-tensioners may be faulty.
1. Replace the bonnet catch fixing bolts with screws and lock nuts. 2. Substitute any Autoliv-Klippan pre-tensioners with TRW-REPA equipment.
PETROL SMELL IN CAR
Incorrect positioning and/or tightening of the fuel pipe clips on the injection bar may cause petrol fumes or smell in the passenger compartment.
Recall the affected vehicles for inspection. Where the subject pipes have been incorrectly positioned and/or tightened the pipes will be replaced.
POSSIBLE CRACKING OF FRONT SUSPENSION UPPER MOUNTING
The front suspension upper mounting plate cups may crack. Under certain conditions this could affect vehicle handling.
Recall the affected vehicles for replacement of the front suspension upper mounting plates with examples incorporating an alternative metal specification.
POSSIBLE SPONTANEOUS RELEASE OF PARKING BRAKE
A batch of vehicles has been identified where the parking brake pawl teeth have been incorrectly formed and are of insufficient depth. This may result in damage to the pawl teeth as well as those on the handbrake ratchet and could permit spontaneous release
Recall the affected vehicles for replacement of the parking brake ratchet and pawl mechanisms with quality assured components. This recall supersedes former campaign R1992/17 since Renault have decided to replace the ratchet and pawl mechanisms on
STUB AXLE FAILURE
Possible fracture of the stub axle(s) on high mileage passenger carrying vehicles. This could result in loss of the wheel and hub assembly with attendant loss of vehicle control and braking effort on one brake circuit.
Recall the affected vehicles for replacement of the stub axle during normal routine servicing or repair with new units incorporating a revised heat treatment requirement.
LOCKING OF FRONT SEAT PIVOT MECHANISM
The front seat pivoting mechanism may not operate correctly. This may lead to imprecise locking of the front seats which under certain driving conditions may have safety implications if the driving seat is not retained in the normal driving mo
Recall affected vehicles for replacement of the seat pivot flange and the fitment of an additional ring washer on both front seats.
