DVLA recall archive
The archive holds 15,570 DVLA vehicle safety recalls dating back to 1992. Filter by manufacturer, year, or keyword. To check whether a specific vehicle is affected by an outstanding recall, run a live VRM recall check for £1.99.
Showing 201–225 of 229 recalls.
THE FRONT LOWER PORTION OF THE SEAT COVER CAN BECOME DETACHED
It is possible that the front lower portion of the cover on the front seat can become detached from its position. This can leave exposed a sharp metal edge on the seat base. This may cause injury or damage to the occupants hand when accessing the storage compartment or during seat adjustment.
Recall the affected vehicles and re-fit the cover with a modified fastener.

TIGHTNESS OF STEERING WHEEL MOUNTING MAY NOT CONFORM WITH NISSAN STANDARDS
In certain cases the tightness of the steering wheel mounting may not conform to specification.
As a preventative measure likely to be affected vehicles will be recalled at which time the steering wheel will be replaced and it's mounting strengthened.
POSSIBILITY THAT THE SPROCKET BOLT AT THE REAR SIDE OF THE CAMSHAFT COULD BREAK
The timing chain tensioner may become defective which can result in the timing chain jamming. Should this occur the engine may stall or fail to start. The condition may also result in the camshaft turning in a non-uniform fashion which could lead to the failure of the vacuum pump drive and a reduction in braking assistance.
Recalled vehicles will have the camshaft chain guide and tensioner replaced.

ENGINE MAY STALL
A concern has been identified with the engine angle and position sensors of the engine management system If ignored it could cause the engine to stall and/or make it not possible to restart
Recall affected vehicles and replace sensors.

REAR SIDE SEAT BELT OUTER BUCKLE MAY BREAK
The rear side seatbelt outer buckle may be of a material which has been incorrectly treated. The buckle may break in service. The seat belt would no longer offer a restraining facility
Recall affected vehicles and replace buckle with modified type

Recall affected vehicles and replace buckle with modified type
REAR BRAKES MAY LOCK UNDER LIGHT BRAKING
In cold damp conditions the rear brake linings may swell and under light braking effort lock the rear wheels. This can adversely affect the vehicle's handling.
Fit improved specification brake linings.
Steering wheel retaining bolt may loosen.
The steering wheel retaining bolt may not have been tightened to the specified torque. If ignored it can potentially lead to a loss of steering control.
Check the torque of the steering wheel retaining bolt and tighten where found necessary.
DRIVERS SEAT WALK-IN DEVICE CONCERN
A concern has been identified with the driver's seat walk-in device. If ignored it may cause unintended movement of the seat whilst driving.
Fit a modified component to the walk-in device mechanism.
POSSIBLE DEFLATION OF FRONT LEFT HAND TYRE
A conveyor used during vehicle manufacturing may have damaged the front left hand tyre. In extreme cases the damage could lead to possible deflation of the affected tyre.
Examine tyre for damage and replace where necessary.

Examine tyre for damage and replace where necessary.
FRONT SUSPENSION CONCERN
The front suspension transverse link rear pivot pin may break if subjected to an impact such as kerbing. Failure of the pivot pin would adversely affect the stability and safe control of the vehicle.
Fit new left and right hand suspension transverse links.
BRAKE PIPE MAY LEAK
An interference can occur between the steering column and the brake pipe which supplies fluid to the rear brakes which may lead to brake pipe leakage.
Recall affected vehicles and reposition brake pipe.
PARKING BRAKE CONCERN
The locating dowel on the parking brake assembly may become detached. In this case any impact on the lever may cause its unintended release.
Recall affected vehicles and fit a quality assured replacement parking brake assembly.
PROPSHAFT BEARINGS CONCERN.
Premature wear of the propshaft universal joint bearings may lead to noise vibration and eventual loss of drive.
Recall affected vehicles and fit a new propshaft which has improved bearings.
PARKING BRAKE MAY SELF RELEASE
The parking brake may not be able to be securely set due to misalignment of the ratchet and pawl teeth. In the worst case the parking brake may self release.
Recall affected vehicles and fit a quality assured replacement parking brake assembly.
ENGINE MAY STALL
A concern has been identified affecting 1.5 1.6 and 1.8 petrol engine crankshaft and camshaft position sensors (a common part). An internal failure of the component may cause the engine to stall and not restart.
Recall affected vehicles and fit a quality assured replacement crankshaft and camshaft position sensor.

SIDE AIR BAG MAY NOT DEPLOY
The side air bag satellite sensor may be incorrectly programmed. In the event of a collision the air bag may not deploy.
Recall affected vehicles and re-programme sensor.
THE BRAKE SYSTEM LSV PILOT TUBE MAY CHAFE ON THE VEHICLE FLOORPAN
The brake system LSV pilot tube may chafe on the vehicle floorpan. Over time the wall thickness may reduce and allow fluid leakage resulting in reduced brake efficiency.
Recall affected vehicles and check LSV pilot tubes for chafing and either reposition or replace pipes.
