DVLA recall archive
The archive holds 15,570 DVLA vehicle safety recalls dating back to 1992. Filter by manufacturer, year, or keyword. To check whether a specific vehicle is affected by an outstanding recall, run a live VRM recall check for £1.99.
Showing 1176–1200 of 1,787 recalls.
ELECTRICAL WIRING IN STEERING ASSEMBLY MAY BE INSUFFICIENTLY GROUNDED
The steering column clock spring may break. This will cause warning messages to illuminate in the instrument cluster but in extreme instances it may cause the driver's airbag to deploy
.Affected vehicles will be recalled to be checked to ensure there is sufficient grounding of the steering components.

FRONT AXLE TOE ADJUSTMENT INCORRECTLY CALCULATED
The toe adjustment for the front axle was incorrectly calculated and set during production.
Measure the front axle adjustments (toe and camber) and correct them.
GAS FUEL CYLINDERS MAY FAIL
Gas fuel tanks fitted to affected vehicles may be affected by corrosion. Over time corrosion may weaken the tank wall(s) and the tank may burst.
On affected vehicles check gas fuel tanks for corrosion. assess and where necessary replace.
MISSING WELDING POINTS AT BOTH FRONT SIDE MEMBERS
It has been determined that the A-Class 177 might have some missing welding points in the area of both front side members. It is possible that due to a deviation in the internal production process a couple of welding points could not have been set .
If these welding points are not present the structural behaviour would be impaired in the event of a crash. In this case an increased risk of injury for the passengers cannot be excluded. As a precautionary measure recall the affected vehicles and check the welding points and rework if necessary.
ELECTRICAL WIRING IN STEERING ASSEMBLY MAY BE INSUFFICIENTLY GROUNDED
The steering column clock spring may break. This will cause warning messages to illuminate in the instrument cluster but in extreme instances it may cause the driver's airbag to deploy.
Affected vehicles will be recalled to establish sufficient grounding of the steering components

AIRBAG CONTROL UNIT CONNECTION MAY NOT BE MANUFACTURED TO SPECIFICATION
The connector pins of the occupant classification system to the airbag control unit might have been manufactured outside specification. After a period of time this may cause decativation of the passnger airbag.
On affected vehicles replace the connector pins of the occupant classification system.

FRONT SEAT BELT MAY JAM
The front seat belt webbing may jam in the belt guide loop. This may affect the operation of the belt.
On affected vehicles remove the spacer ring and install an additional slide element for the seat belt guide to prevent jamming.
FRONT SEAT BELT MAY JAM
The front seat belt webbing may jam in the belt guide loop. This may affect the operation of the belt. As a result the risk of injury may possibly be increased in the event of a collision.
On affected vehicles remove the spacer ring and install an additional slide element for the seat belt guide to prevent jamming.
FRONT DOOR HANDLES MAY NOT BE INSTALLED CORRECTLY
Driver and front passenger door exterior handles may not have been installed correctly.
On affected vehicles check installation of the door handles and if necessary replace and correctly install.
STEERING COMPONENTS MAY BE INSUFFICIENTLY GROUNDED
It has been determined that the steering airbag electrical components are insufficiently grounded. Failure of the steering column module clock spring could result in an inadvertent deployment of the driver airbag which may cause risk of injury to the driver and an increased risk of a potential collision.
On affected vehicles the manufacturer will fit a contact bridge to the outer race of the steering column top bearing which will provide correct grounding.
