DASH WARNING LIGHT MAY FAIL TO ILLUMINATE
During one of the periodical design reviews an issue has been identified that theoretically could affect the vehicle in very particular circumstances. Should a fault in the parking braking system occur a degree of braking action could be applied by the system. This condition could potentially not be highlighted in the vehicle as the specific warning light could not be activated.
The cluster reprogramming rectifies the issue and ensures that even in particular conditions the information is correctly displayed through the warning light in the cluster.
SHOCK ABSORBER MOUNTING MAY FAIL
Some vehicles of the Eurocargo Euro 3 and MY2008 range may be subject to breakage of the rear shock absorber bottom support when used in demanding work situations. This will result in failed operation of the shock absorber.
To replace the defective rear shock absorber bottom support bracket within the listed chassis range with support brackets of correct conformity.
BRAKING EFFICIENCY MAY BE COMPROMISED
Due to continuous quality control it has shown on a limited number of vehicles it may be necessary to replace a component of the brake valve EBS2 in order to ensure perfect efficiency of the braking system.Failure to replace the component described could compromise the correct operation of the braking system.
Replacement of the relay piston / sealing ring on the brake value of the EBS2 (CBU) tractor.
A FRAME RETAINING SCREWS MAY BE INCORRECTLY TORQUED
On a number of vehicles the torque setting value of the retaining screws of the A frame guide rod joint to the axle could be wrong.
Checks to be carried out to ensure that the correct torque is applied.

CAB MAY TILT WITHOUT WARNING
On vehicles equipped with electric cab tilting mechanism it is possible that water may enter the control relay for the system. This can cause a short circuit in the pump control relay which will operate the tilt pump and if the driver has failed to leave the control valve in the lowered position then an involuntary tilting of the cab may occur.
Recall all affected vehicles for the fitment of a water tight protection to be fitted to the control relay.
PNEUMATIC SUSPENSION COULD FAIL
On-going product and quality checks have shown that there may be defects in the Air suspension supports.
Check the supports for the air bellow manufacturing and casting numbers and replace i required.
IN A COLLISION THE REAR BUMPER MAY NOT PERFORM AS INTENDED
Bolts may be missing from the rear bumper support brackets which in a collision may cause the bumper not to function as intended and result in additional injuries.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary restore the correct fastening of the rear bumper support brackets.
FUEL MAY LEAK
Fuel pipes may fail causing a leakage of fuel.
Replace all engine fuel pipes

HANDBRAKE MAY NOT ENGAGED CORRECTLY
The hand brake release button can become detached from the ratchet control rod which prevents the pawl at the rear of the lever from engaging the ratchet. the hand brake must then be applied by the driver holding the lever in the engaged position.
Two solutions have been developed. a. re-fitment of using high strength loctite adhesive. b. Replacement of the button.
SIDE MARKER LIGHTS DO NOT PERFORM CORRECTLY
It is possible that the side lights may extinguish within 30 seconds of the ignition being turned off even when the side lights have been selected. This could affect vehicle visibility during darkness.
Recall all affected vehicles to check side light function and if required modify the electrical wiring in the CVM unit.
STEERING CONTROL COULD BE LOST
The second axle steering ram and/or clevis assembly may not be to specification which will result in some movement between the mounting and the ram. If ignored the movement will increase with usage and could eventually lead to separation of the ram and mounting resulting in the steering control being impaired.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary replace parts as indicated by the repair procedure issued by the manufacturer.
STEERING MAY BE AFFECTED
Ingress of dirt into the steering shaft sliding joint will cause the splines to wear prematurely. As the joint wears play at the steering will become apparent and over time the play will increase leading to some pulsing when the steering wheel is turned and the vehicle wandering. If all these warning signs are ignored and the vehicle is still used there will be increased difficulty in maintaining steering control.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the steering shaft with a modified type.
REAR AXLE MAY NOT BE SECURE
Incorrectly fitted panhard rod mounting bolts may fail and lead to the rear axle developing lateral movement.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to fit new panhard rod mounting bolts to the correct torque.
POSSIBLE LOSS OF DRIVE AND LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL.
It has been identified that due to insufficient clearance between the prop shaft centre bearing flange and the cross member a foul condition may exist between the two. It is therefore possible that the flange could break with possible loss of drive and vehicle control.
Recalled vehicles will be fitted with new nuts and bolts and additional spacers fitted under the centre bearing which will give increased clearance between the prop shaft flange and the cross member.
STEERING MAY BE AFFECTED
Steering control maybe affected by loose cab to chassis mountings.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary re-torque the bolts securing the cab to the chassis.
FIFTH WHEEL BASE MAY FRACTURE
Under extreme conditions the fifth wheel bed plate may flex and damage the fifth wheel base.
Recall affected vehicles replace the fifth wheel and bed plate if manufactured by GF
POSSIBLE REDUCTION OF BRAKING EFFICIENCY
It has been identified that the possibility exists that the Duo-Duplex brake adjusting mechanism may non operate correctly. Should this be the case possible loss of front and rear brake adjustment may occur which can result in loss of braking efficiency on both the service and parking brake systems.
Recalled vehicles will have the brake stations of both the front and rear axles fitted with a modified brake adjuster kit.
