24C24 - Transit Custom - Side window automatic reversal system / Compliance recall
On affected vehicles there is potentially an issue with the window automatic reversal system (bounce back system). Under certain circumstances a closing window could exert a force of over 100N.
Update driver and passenger door modules software.
24S57 Transit Rear hub bearing
Affected vehicles may experience a lack of lubrication to the rear wheel bearings leading to premature failure.
Check of vehicles current mileage and where necessary inspect bearing to ensure full lubrication with parts replaced as necessary.
24S29 - Transit Connect Panoramic Roof
Transit Connect vehicles fitted with glass panoramic roofs may be subject to wind noise water leak and in rare cases separation from the vehicle.
Remove and re-install glass roof.
Ranger Idler Gear Failure
A small number of Ranger vehicles that have been manufactured with an incorrectly assembled engine idler gear. An improperly installed engine idler gear may cause an engine stall with sudden loss of power whilst driving increasing the risk of crash or injury. A noise is typically observed from the engine in advance. In the event of a failure the vehicle will stall and/or not start.
Replace Idler assembly
24C21 – Focus Passenger Beltminder Chime
While monitoring vehicles in operation we have identified a number of Focus vehicles where the passenger belt minder chime is not activated when the vehicle goes over 15 mph. Regulatory requirements mandate that an audible chime must activate when the first-row passenger seatbelt is unfastened and the vehicle speed exceeds 15 mph.
Update the instrument panel cluster IPC configuration.
24C18 Puma - Instrument panel cluster (IPC) software update -- Compliance recall
Puma vehicles that might have an intermittent instrument panel cluster display issue due to an incorrect software configuration. If this happens the cluster will turn black when turning the ignition on or while driving. The Ford dealer will update the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC).
Update the instrument panel cluster (IPC) software to the latest level.
24S33 – Kuga 2.5L PHEV supercreep
On affected vehicles a recent update to the Power Control Module (PCM) software could result in the vehicle shifting into neutral and coasting to a stop. The subsequent limp home mode results in unintended acceleration or 'supercreep'.
Update the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software
Focus Lane Centering Assist Software Update
A number of Focus vehicles have been identified where the warning chimes may not be operating as intended. The chimes may not be audible when the driver is not holding the steering wheel for longer than 30 seconds while using Lane Centering Assist which does not meet ECE regulations.
Updating software in control unit.
24S18 - Transit Courier Tourneo Courier - Brake system potential contamination
Courier vehicles on which the brake system may be contaminated with mineral oil. This can cause swelling of rubber components in the brake system (hydraulic seals brake hoses etc). In some circumstances if swelling occurs there is potential for the brake system to lack hydraulic pressure which may result in longer brake pedal travel and reduced brake performance therefore increasing the risk of an accident.
The Ford dealer will inspect the brake system on all affected vehicles and will replace all the parts affected by this condition.
24C02 - Transit Courier Reversing Camera Black Screen
A small number of Transit Courier vehicles which have been built where the rear-view camera turns black on the SYNC screen when the vehicle is placed in reverse. In addition some other Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features may not function as expected.
Updated software to be installed
Brake Hose Leak
On affected vehicles there is the possibility of the front brake hoses leaking.
Replace both front brake hoses and modify the hose routing and ride height sensor if necessary.

24C10 - Transit Custom - Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) software update
Transit Custom vehicles that might have been loaded with the incorrect software for the Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) during the manufacturing process. Having the incorrect software could lead to the Lane Change Warning Assist (LCWA) to not work as intended.
The Ford Dealer will update the software to the latest level in order to restore full functionality.
24S34 – Courier Hand Brake Wiring
Courier vehicles where the hand brake electrical wiring could get damaged. This could result in the park brake light being illuminated at all times regardless of whether the park brake lever is physically applied. There is a risk that the customer may assume the park brake is applied when it is not increasing the risk of vehicle roll-away. In some cases the park indicator light will not illuminate although the park brake is applied. There is no hand brake function loss due to this issue.
Inspect rework if required or replace if damaged.

24S30 Transit - Incorrect trailer tow installed
A small number of Transit vehicles have been manufactured with an incorrect tow bar that does not meet the correct load specifications. It is important for the affected vehicles to be returned to a Ford Authorised Dealer. If the tow load is in excess of 2600kg this could potentially result in the trailer becoming detached or the tow bar assembly being damaged. A detached trailer or a damaged tow bar could increase the risk of an accident.
Install the correct tow bar free of charge parts and labour.
24S22 – Transit Rear Brake Line Inspection
The wrong brake line hose may have been installed on the right rear. The longer brake line could create a touch condition with the rear wheel which could in turn cause a brake fluid leak. In the event of a leak you may notice a soft brake pedal feel and a red warning light will illuminate in the cluster. The brake system has two separate diagonal brake line circuits and in the event of one brake line circuit failure the vehicle is able to stop with the functionality of the secondary brake circuit. If the brake lines on both sides were to fail it may lead to a loss of brake function.
Inspect and replace with correct hose.
23S67 – Ranger Platinum Child Lock
Ranger Platinum vehicles where the electronic child lock system may show as engaged on the orange light on the window switch pack on the door trim but the rear doors could be opened from the interior door release handle. A Child Lock Malfunction message in the cluster or a warning flash on the activation button may or may not illuminate.
Modification to system wiring and system reset.
Transit and Tourneo Courier Infotainment Software Update
A number of Transit and Tourneo Courier vehicles have been identified where the warning chimes may not be operating as intended the chimes may not be audible which does not meet ECE regulation. For vehicles affected by this concern the overall functionality of the vehicle is not affected but some warning chimes may fail to sound including but not limited to intelligent speed assist forward & reverse park aid active cruise control collision warning lane departure & keeping warnings park brake seat belt minder.
Apply software update
24S23 - Transit Skeletal Chassis Inspection
While monitoring vehicles in operation we have become aware of a number of Transit Chassis vehicles may have damage to a section of the vehicle’s chassis. The chassis is the structural element of the vehicle.
Inspect and replace vehicle if required possible reworking.
Transit Courier: Wiring Loom to Steering Column Potential Touch Condition
Affected vehicles may have a touch condition between the dash panel wiring and the steering i-shaft. This may lead to damage of the wiring harness which can cause several issues depending on which wire is affected. Potential issues include loss of exterior lighting loss of tyre pressure monitoring system doors might show up as closed despite not being closed and other possible failure modes.
Inspect and resecure if required

24S16 - Kuga - PCM Programming and Drain Tube Installation
A small number of vehicles on which the fuel injectors may crack and leak. In the event of an injector failing this may result in fuel accumulating on the top of the engine. The accumulation of fuel could become the catalyst for a fire due to the proximity to the exhaust system and lack of an escape route for the leaking fuel.
The dealer will fit a specially developed drain tube which will safely drain any leaking fuel away from hot surfaces like the cylinder head or exhaust. Also the vehicle software will be updated which will allow any drop in fuel pressure to be detected. This software will reduce the power of the engine if a drop in fuel pressure is detected and a warning light will be illuminated in the instrument cluster.
