POSSIBLE FUEL LEAK IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT
Due to insufficient clamping pressure of fuel pipe ferrule attaching the flexible hose to the pipe end fitting it is possible that a fuel leak may occur in the engine compartment.
Recall all affected vehicles remove the suspect fuel hoses and fit quality assured replacements.
STEERING COLUMN SHAFT CLAMP BOLT MAY HAVE BEEN INSUFFICIENTLY TIGHTENED
Due to possible incorrect alignment of the splines it is possible that the steering column shaft clamp bolt may be insufficiently tightened.
Recall affected vehicles and examine column shaft for correct alignment of the splines. Check that column clamp bolt has been tightened to the specified torque.
POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO FUEL TANK DURING VEHICLE ASSEMBLY COULD RESULT IN A FUEL LEAK
Possible damage to fuel tank caused during production installation of Spider roof mechanism. A fixing screw of the roof mechanism trim cover may make contact with the fuel tank and cause possible leakage.
Recall affected vehicles for examination and replacement of fuel tank if found necessary.
POSSIBLE FUEL LEAKAGE
The fuel line retaining nuts may split after tightening if the recommended torque has been exceeded. This can cause leakage of fuel with an attendant risk of fire. This campaign augments recall R1997/55 but applies only to cars built after the launch of that campaign.
Affected vehicles are being recalled for replacement of the fuel lines.
POSSIBLE FUEL LEAK
An incorrectly positioned water hose retaining clamp may chafe on a fuel hose. This can damage the hose and result in leakage of fuel.
Affected vehicles are being recalled to have the hose clamp repositioned with the clamp screw clear of the fuel hose.
SECURITY OF SEAT BELT MOUNTINGS
The seat belt mountings may detach from the rear bulkhead in an accident situation.
The affected vehicles are being recalled for the fitment of reinforcing plates at the belt mounting points on the rear bulkhead.
POSSIBLE LOSS OF TYRE PRESSURE
The bolts securing the components of the multi piece wheel rim may loosen slightly. This can result in loss of tyre pressure.
Recall the affected vehicles and replace the wheel rims with quality assured examples secured by bolts treated with locking compound.
POSSIBLE LEAKAGE FROM FLEXIBLE FUEL PIPING
The aluminium ferrules clamping the flexible fuel pipes on the pressure side of the injection system to their unions may deteriorate due to atmospheric conditions. In extreme cases this could allow fuel leakage with the possibility of an engine bay fire.
Recall the affected vehicles and replace the original flexible fuel pipes with modified versions.
