DVLA recall archive
The archive holds 15,570 DVLA vehicle safety recalls dating back to 1992. Filter by manufacturer, year, or keyword. To check whether a specific vehicle is affected by an outstanding recall, run a live VRM recall check for £1.99.
Showing 601–625 of 681 recalls.
SEATBELT MAY NOT OPERATE AS DESIGNED
The seat belt locking action may not be as fast as it is designed to be.
Recall the vehicles that may be affecte check the date of manufacture of the seat belts and where necessary replace the seat belts.
FRONT AIRBAG MAY NOT DEPLOY AS DESIGNED IN A FRONTAL IMPACT
It has been identified that the front air bag ECU may not take full account of frontal impacts that are below the legal threshold for triggering deployment.
Recalled vehicles will have the air bag ECU re-programmed.
BRAKING MAY BE AFFECTED
Braking assistance could be adversely by freezing of moisture that may accumulate in the vacuum circuit.
Recall the vehicles that may be affected and fit a separate air vent complete with filter to each electro valve fitted to the vacuum circuit.
ACCELERATOR PEDAL RETURNS TOO SLOWLY
It has been identified that the accelerator pedal can return too slowly. This can have an effect on the driving of the vehicle
Recalled vehicles will have the accelerator pedal replaced.

BRAKE FLUID MAY LEAK
There is a possibility that a seepage of brake fluid may occur at the union between the rear flexi hose and the metal brake pipes. This would eventually lead to the illumination of the low fluid warning lamp which if left would result in longer brake pedal travel and reduced effectiveness of the brakes.
Recall the vehicles that likely to be affected and check for seepage of brake fluid. If the brake fluid seepage is apparent the flexible brake hose and the associated metal brake pipes will be replaced.
FUEL LEAKING INTO ENGINE
It has been identified that a potential fault in the engine management system could cause an internal fuel leak via one or more of the fuel injectors after switching off. This would result in a failure to restart because of excess fuel present in the inlet manifold or cylinders.
Recalled vehicles will have the engine management unit software upgraded.
SPARE WHEEL TYRE PRESSURE INCORRECTLY STATED ON INFORMATION LABEL
On subject vehicles the indication of 2.5 bar pressure for the spare wheel which can be found on a label affixed to the left hand door pillar is incorrect for the vehicle specification.
Recalled vehicles will have a replacement label affixed to the vehicle which will indicate the correct spare tyre pressure i.e. 4.2 bar. It should be noted that at manufacturethe tyre was inflated to the correct pressure however as a precaution the pressure of the spare wheel will be checked.
FUEL MAY LEAK INTO ENGINE
A potential fault within the engine management system could cause an internal engine fuel leak via one or more of the injectors following engine switch off. The engine would then not restart because of the excess fuel present in the inlet manifold or cylinders.
Recalled vehicles will have the engine management unit software updated.
POSSIBLE LOSS OF BRAKING EFFICIENCY
This concern relates to right hand drive vehicles only. There may cases of the brake linkage lever being defectively assembled which may result in a loss of braking efficiency.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected check and where necessary reposition the brake pedal relay linkage lever.

SHORT CIRCUIT MAY OCCUR/RISK OF FIRE
Repeated ingress of saline water into the connections to the Electronic Control Unit for the Anti- Lock Braking system may eventually result in a short circuit that could cause a fire in the engine compartment.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check the ABS block and strengthen the sealing of the electrical connections.
SUSPENSION SPRINGS MAY BREAK
In the exceptional event of a spring breaking there could be a risk of the spring making contact with the vehicle tyre.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and fit a suspension cup to each side of the front suspension.
SUSPENSION SPRINGS MAY BREAK
In the exceptional event of a spring breaking there could be a risk of the spring making contact with the vehicle tyre.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and fit a suspension cup to each side of the front suspension.
BRAKE FLUID MAY LEAK
There is a possibility of a brake pipe contacting the clip of the turbo-charger air inlet union. In extreme cases this could lead to a loss of brake fluid causing the brake warning lamp to come on.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and where necessary reposition the clip of the turbo-charger air inlet union. If the brake pipe shows traces of wear it will need to be replaced.

AIRBAG LIGHT MAY COME ON INADVERTENTLY
Due to draining of the condensation from the air conditioning system into the passenger compartment the air bag warning light may activate unintentionally. This in extreme cases may cause the air bag system to malfunction.
Recalled vehicles will have the sealing of the pipe which drains the condensation from the air conditioning system improved.
THE ENGINE PROTECTION TRAY MAY DETACH
The fixings for the under engine protection tray could deteriorate which could lead in some cases to the tray falling whilst the vehicle is in motion.
Recalled vehicles will have the engine under protection tray fixings replaced.
