CONCERN THAT SEATBELT WILL NOT SECURE CHILDSEAT
It has been identified that the front passenger seat belts may not tighten on certain models of child seat.
Recalled vehicles will have the front passenger seat belts replaced.
ENGINE MAY OVERHEAT
The cooling fan blades may fracture and separate from the fan which will in certain circumstances allow the engine to overheat.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the fan assembly.
DIRECTION INDICATORS MAY NOT FUNCTION CORRECTLY
It has been identified that the direction indicators may not function correctly.
Recalled vehicles will have the indicator power module reprogrammed.
EXHAUST EMISSIONS MAY BE INCORRECT
It has been identified that a number of vehicles may have a faulty absolute emissions sensor.
Recalled vehicles will have the manifold absolute pressure sensor replaced.
FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG MAY DEPLOY INCORRECTLY
It has been identified that the front passenger air bag may deploy with too much force when certain rear facing child seats are installed.
Recalled vehicles will have the front passenger cushions replaced and the occupant restraint system re-programmed.
ENGINE MAY OVERHEAT
The cooling fan blades may fracture and separate from the fan which will in certain circumstances allow the engine to overheat.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the fan assembly.
VEHICLE MAY STALL
The clutch pedal push rod may break causing the clutch function to be lost.
Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the clutch pedal push rod plastic spacer foam seal and interlock switch cover.
HANDBRAKE MAY FAIL
It has been identified that the handbrake may fail.
Recalled vehicles will have the handbrake assembly replaced.
WINDSCREEN WIPERS MAY FAIL TO OPERATE
The windscreen wipers may fail to operate.
Recalled vehicles will have the windscreen wiper motor replaced.
VEHICLE MAY ROLL AWAY
The cup plug on the automatic transmission parking pawl may be incorrectly installed. Thus even when park is selected it may be possible that the vehicle could roll away.
Recalled vehicles will have a bracket fitted to the transmission cup plug.
THE UPPER POWER STEERING HOSE MAY SPLIT AND LEAK.
The power steering upper hose may split and leak. This may result in a fire.
Recall affected vehicles and replace the power steering upper return hose.
THE FUEL LINE JUMPER TUBE MAY CHAFE AGAINST THE THROTTLE CABLE
The fuel line jumper tube may chafe against the throttle cable. This may then lead to a fuel leak.
Recalled vehicles will be fitted with a modified fuel line jumper tube. Additionally the tube will be re-routed and secured.
FUEL PUMP MODULE MOUNTING CONCERN
The fuel pump module mounting may leak if the vehicle is involved in a rollover collision.
Install a secondary seal over the fuel pump module.
STEERING RACK CROSS MEMBER/DIFFERENTIAL MOUNTING BRACKET CONCERN
Cracking and separation of the steering rack cross member and/or the differential mounting bracket may lead to loss of vehicle control in extreme cases.
Recall vehicles and inspect for cracks. If cracks are evident parts will be replaced. In all cases reinforcement brackets will be installed.
SEAT BELT MAY BECOME INOPERATIVE
The D pillar sound barrier patches may loosen and drop onto the rear seat belt which may lead to the seat belt assembly becoming inoperative.
Recall affected vehicle and fit new version of foam pads to D pillar and inspect and replace any sticking or inoperative seat belts.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT FUEL LEAK CONCERN
After extended use the fuel rail crossover tube O rings may leak fuel. This may lead to an engine compartment fire.
Fit external seals at the fuel crossover points. If the joints are leaking or show signs of rust the fuel rail assembly will be replaced.

Fit external seals at the fuel crossover points. If the joints are leaking or show signs of rust the fuel rail assembly will be replaced.
BRAKE VACUUM HOSE CONCERN
The brake booster vacuum hose may swell and leak due to oil contamination. This could lead to loss of power brake assist and an increase in engine idle speed. This may increase the stopping distance.
Recall the affected vehicles and replace the brake booster vacuum hose.
HAND BRAKE MAY FAIL
The self-adjusting mechanism may become out of range or fail to engage. Either condition could lead to the vehicle rolling away.
Identify type of handbrake cable fitted and install short cable if not already installed. In all cases install lockout clip to the self adjust mechanism.
PARKING BRAKE MAY SELF - RELEASE
The parking brake lever cable is too long which may cause the locking mechanism to extend beyond the last tooth of the sector when the park brake is engaged. This condition may cause the parking brake to self-release.
Recall affected vehicles and replace parking brake cable with shorter cable. Additionally as part of the above recall the repair contained in Daimler-Chrysler Technical Service Bulletin 05i-801-99 relating to parking brake imbalance will be carried out on affected vehicles.
DEFECTIVE ROLL OVER VALVE MAY RESULT IN FUEL ODOUR AND LEAKS
On affected vehicles liquid fuel may pass through the fuel tank rollover valve (mounted in the fuel pump module) and fill the evaporative canister. This may result in driveability problems fuel odour and leakage from the canister.
To correct this condition the fuel pump module mounted rollover valve must be replaced.
INADVERTANT OPERATION OF AIR BAG
The air bags on the subject vehicles may inadvertently deploy during a three second period after the ignition key has been turned to the off position.
The affected vehicles are being recalled for replacement of the air bag control module.
