Passenger airbag inflator
The front passenger airbag inflator (PAB) may contain propellant that could possibly degrade over a period of time. This may cause metal fragments to pass through the air bag and into the vehicle interior at high speed which may result in injury to vehicle occupants in the event of a deployment event.
On affected vehicles replace the inflator assembly.
Driver airbag inflator
The driver airbag inflator housing may rupture due to excessive internal pressure during normal airbag deployment events. This condition is more likely to occur if the vehicle has been exposed to high levels of absolute humidity for extended periods of time.
Replace the driver airbag inflator.

2009 Chrysler Aspen Driver airbag inflator
On affected vehicles the driver’s airbag inflator housing may rupture due to excessive internal pressure during normal airbag deployment events. An inflator rupture during airbag deployment events could result in metal fragments striking and potentially seriously injuring the vehicle occupant(s).
Replace the drivers airbag.
